Time will tell on us all I wont be heartbroken if my son does not get into to our local Grammer but he wanted to try and I felt he was clever enough and wanted to give him the chance my main bugbear is there are no good High schools near me ( some may argue the point) but I have two older Children one did ok and one flunked all I myself never had the chance i did my 11plus as it was and failed I learnt very little at School and left at 15 with no Gces as it was then as it was not compulsory.
I'm the same as you Cherryscone, my child is bright and I want to give her the best chance. I realise it won't be the end of the world if she doesn't get it, however, the secondaries around us aren't great and coupled with my own experiences the grammar route is one we're certainly comfortable pursuing. My DD got a score of 78% today which is fine. We are fortunate to have a good secondary school close by but I still want her to do her best! Having experienced a secondary school and then a grammar school myself, I think the grammar schools offer better sports teams, performing arts etc. No colours or honours blazers awarded in secondary schools round here!0

Well that sounds good!
58% with a few silly marks lost so definitely easy enough room for improvement to peak for November !! Best result for school test this month !! - has done better in ones at home but these are the ones that mean more!! Feeling positive.0 -

thats the problem - doesnt take very much to drop much needed marks. I just get frustrated when its silly mistakes !!
Hopefully DD doesnt beat herself up - at least this happened now and no on ones of actual papers x0
