Oh, one more thing. My quidco money has been paid for the 2 santander accounts, so i'll now action a switch and get rid of the current account. My original plan was Coop, but i'll have a quick look round for best cashback deal etc... The £45 from quidco will naturally go straight to mortgage pot!!
I mentioned in the accounts post that the ave net reduction had dipped below £1k, but this extra payment will rectify that! as £45/8 = £5.63 (rounded up to nearest penny of course).MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Got November up and running with a £20.50 OP made up of interest from NW and TSB accounts. The quidco cashback is still in the ether between quidco and paypal so that's not yet been OP'd. I'll also get my £15 Halifax rewards on Monday. That'll be another brick coloured in too!!
We're a few pounds overdrawn (less than £15) until Tuesday so i wont be doing any TT's until we're back in credit. We have no expenditures until then anyway and we both have enough cash and petrol so its no issue at all.
Struggling a bit to readjust to sleep patterns at the minute, but i promise to get around to other diaries in the next day or so.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Thanks all, good to be back. Mrs SJ is huge! Was quite a shock after over 3 weeks away. She's doing very well and we go for a 3D scan this morning, so very excited. We sorted out maternity leave yesterday and she's got 6 weeks left in work now! Money wise she does very very well with her company and gets 26 was at full pay, we're adding to that with another 8 weeks at statutory and then 3weeks of annual leave. So overall she finishes on 18th dec and goes back mid Sept. Baba is due early Jan so she gets a good Summer with baby.
I'm hoping we can absorb the 8 weeks at statuary pay with a some savings in the next few months it shouldn't affect our MF plans too much. At a push we may not OP for those 2 months, or at least not to the same extent.
All that remains now is to be decisive with names and reduce our list of options!
Santander switch to coop will start today, and then once that's sorted I'm ditching their CC too as they don't deserve our business! I'm actually thinking of getting rid of a CC altogether as the cash back benefits are getting smaller and smaller...MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
