Am already there :rotfl:
Bill in and £8 less than previous month. Hmm, suspect DS and school holiday laptop gaming/tv on had plenty to do with that!
Go on SJ, remove a few lightbulbs and see what happens
Weather definitely autumnal now...garden needs it though. God I'm getting middle aged, found myself watching Monty Don on BBC2 Friday night :rotfl:
OPing seems quite well understood in my friends circle - might be the stage of life with mid-life crisis over and now we're all keen on retiring earlyBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Sellotape - I've given up mentioning it to people now. I just accept that they all think i'm mega tight! But we all know who'll have the last laugh!! Thanks for popping into see like-minded freaks...
Ali - good point on age of circle of friends. I suppose in another 5 years many of our friends will getting to that halfway point or original 25yr term and may well be viewing it differently. And lets be honest im not brave enough to remove the light bulbs, i'll just threaten when she's out of earshot!
DFOD - I love this time of year so i'm not too sorry with the weather. Though school run was tricky this morning with the amount of rain and puddles on the play ground. DS2 needed a change of clothes by the time he'd gotten to nursery!
Day went as planned. Successful NSD and blood was stolen...! Tomorrow is wall painting and pooch back to vets for stitches removal!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Exciting news your having a little girl, she'll have 2 cool older brothers to look out for her when she's older
Yep agreed it's nice to be amongst like minded freaks :rotfl:, rather that than putting everything on credit and complaining of being skint all the time0 -
Aaahhhhh. Mrs SJ doesn't like the paint on the walls! So off she trots to pick another colour. At least i'd only done 1 coat, though its 2 hours i'll never get back!!
Looks like it'll be a long night for me as i really need to get 1 coat done on the walls today. Got 2 long days in work then on Monday i'm away with work for 3 weeks so under pressure to get the nursery finished and furnished by weekend!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
three weeks?? What delightful place do you get to visit?
As an aside, you are leaving Mrs SJ for three weeks - have you assessed the risk to the finances?DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Risk has been assessed and its definitely critical!! Not only is it 3 weeks, its 3 weeks leaving 2 kids, 1 dog, 2 hamsters and a fish. Add to that 26wks pregnant and I'm on such thin ice I'm a a dead man walking. Hence the no fuss and repaint without saying a word!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Hiya All
Sorry been really busy and not had time to post much!
Friday Tilly Tidies were £1.52 from food budget and £0.45 from entertainment !
Letter earlier this week from the Bank. As advised by Martin's :money: Reclaim (section above on the black tabs). I believed that I was mis-sold a bank account and had loads of unwarrented charges! I never thought I would get much back - if any!!! I most certainly would never have thought to claim if it wasnt for this site!
They rang up and asked me loads of questions about what I had claimed but I kept a photocopy of what I sent in and filed it carefully and so when they were asking me I could answer in the same way as I had claimed. I got £1563 back!!! :j
It sorts out a number of things for me!! Now to re build my emergency stash!! So I'm still going to be Tilly Tidying and being frugal onwards!!
More getting even with the Banks - Jimmy! :rotfl:Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j
NSDs 2015:185/330 (allowing for hols etc)
LBM: started Jan 2012 - still learning!
Life gives us only lessons and gifts - learn the lesson and it becomes a gift.' from the Bohdavista :j0 -
Great result Jimmy - that will buy a lot of paintA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Fantastic Lynn. I tried the whole PPI thing. I didn't think I was owed and as expected got a negative answer. Think Mrs SJ may have though so we've got a claim in with Yorkshire bank so we'll see!
Decorating is like that thing in the corner that we don't talk about! Hoping to get 2 hours at it tonight which should leave the glossing and some touching up around the ceiling for tomorrow. If I manage that I'll only be a few hours behind and can spend Saturday afternoon cleaning he carpet and rebuilding the cot.
Money wise it's a bit quiet. Got my £15 halifax rewards this morning so I'll OP that. TT's have been 1p, 54p and £1 for last 3 days so that's ticking along nicely. House insurance is on the horizon in November but that's about it.
4 sleeps from being away for 22 days so Mrs SJ is in that can't look at me phase!!! I'm dreading telling DS1 on Saturday, but thinking I'll soften the blow/bribe him with a game for his wii u!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
