  • 11p TT'd this morning.I've left the payday money shuffles till tomorrow though as im mega tired and cant think straight!!

Pooch was petrified when we turned in the street, which is amazing as he's only been once and all they did then was make a fuss of him!! Fridge was the right one (a touch bigger than the last and i must say it makes a huge difference in the place we have it), so has been unpacked and put in position. Just waiting for the 3 hour gas settle now before switching on.

So back to money shuffle ideas. I'm going to have a good stint tomorrow looking at our targets and schedules as i'm sure we can squeeze another £50 a month or so, and im really keen to see if i can knock some more months off the original 120 payments target. I'd love to do it 100, so im going to see what we need to do to achieve that.

I'll be back with plans tomorrow!

  • Sounds good! Really enjoying your diary :D
Started my MFW journey in August 14 : £103,650
    2019 : £77,900
  • Right i threatened to have a look at targets to see if we could shave anymore off, and i'm pleased to say that i've looked...however there's not much more i can do!!

However i do think if we can make an extra £400 a year, so approx £35 a month then it's knock off 11 payments. Now looking at what we currently do i reckon we'd have that left at the end of each month anyway. so starting 2 days ago i'm going to go for that. So, providing we have it i'll make a bonus £35 OP on the 24th of each month. And i've done if today on behalf of September.

Not sure we'll achieve it every month, but we'll see.

Ooh excited now as i can save another tab on my master spreadsheet!

  • Nice! Almost a year off the term for £35/mo? Yes, please.

I've calculated our main OP as high as it can go so that our budget looks "tight". I'm hoping that'll keep us from overspending (though I have a feeling it'll work better on me as I'm less likely to impulse buy than DH). Time will tell...
