Hope you are getting lots of decorating done!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Lucky - believe it or not i'm not too bothered about the LTV now that we're under 60%. It's daily interest and colouring bricks for me now!
Debtfree - decorating starts on Thursday so i get a few days of grace to think about it!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Thanks for the welcome
and I need to take a leaf out of your book and open a side account for TTs that I can move back to add to the capital payment - minimum amount I can send is £500, so that's a worthwhile plan to see those little bits add up
You've a busy timetable with decorating and work and then new baby!
Am tracking daily interest too - moved on up from knocking 7p/8p last year to double figures of 10p this month - planning on 11p with the next one. It'll take me to another month knocked off the end date as well. :j I like little milestones and have a good spreadsheet fiddle to find one and then make the budget fit to meet itBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Well in terms of decorating my plan is for the full house to be done this year to take the pressure off house maintenance for baby 3. I'm realistic to know that any brownie points accrued wont last though!
From todays posts it got me thinking about daily interest and i've noticed that my progress in the last 5 months now means that each £450 OP knocks off 6p per day rather than 5p. Doesn't seem like much but it does show how progress starts to snowball.
In other MSE news it looks like Mrs SJ is cancelling her gym membership for the next 12-18months so i think i'll throw that £10 at the mortgage as well! But as usual don't tell Mrs SJ!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
To add to your various comparisons I like to compare monthly interest paid 2014 to 2015 which will obviously be ruined when interest rates go up but it works for now!0
-
OCC - thats a cracker to compare. Think i'll add to that to my list but may go every 6 months to get some positive readings before the interest rates ruin it in 2016!!
I think my favorite though is monthly reduction as it feels like big numbers and real progress is being made. My last 5 are; £1,082.42, £1,024.91, £933.40, £933.14, £1,015.56 .
That said each month i get a new favourite such is the excitement of spreadsheets!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
