I strongly advise that as you get through things you refer back to your equivalent of our futile list. Having retired from paid work we have 30 years worth of "meant to", "must get on with", and "should get round to it" projects to undertake - we have never been busier! This week has seen new compost bins built and our own compost delivered around the garden in the absence of the usual source. We are happy to go to bed just after ten we are so cream-crackered!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Agree with you SJ it's very difficult to get motivated at the moment. A real feeling of limbo land. I did manage to walk the dog and sweep the patio before collapsing in the deck chair again. Will try again tomorrow. Happy Easter to you and yours.Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. I'm getting through those outside jobs steadily. I ran out of fence paint and despite ordering some off Band Q for click and collect, but unfortunately I haven't had the collect alert yet. The intention was to tackle the front weeds yesterday but after a long run and a long dog walk I opted for a Sunday of chair in the garden and my Kindle! The weeds can wait till this afternoon I'd say.
As you can all appreciate a house with 3 primary age kids on Easter Sunday, we have been overrun with chocolate! The egg hunt and then Easter crafts that Mrs SJ sorted were superb and the kids had a great day.
In work circumstances I have now had confirmation of being furloughed at the end of work day on Friday, but thankfully our wages will be topped up (for now). I'm surprised that its taken this long to be fair, but I wonder if I was just at thee bottom of the list (and we do have a very small staff in the accounts/payroll department). So it all confirms that I won't be going back to work in April and more than likely May! If only they could open the refuse centre for a few hours a week so that I could get rid of a stack of our waste from my decluttering spree!

I guess you know about the furloughing, at least, Jimmy - scrabbling to find a bright side for you, at least it takes the pressure off finding the time to do those jobsGlad that your littlies had such a good Easter Sunday2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Good news about your wages being topped up. We are lucky as I'm on full pay for Mat leave right now and OH is working from home so our wages haven't been hit (fingers crossed it stays that way).
