Great update as usual and well done on hitting the 70s :T:T:T:T0

Well the weekend has arrived and I have both days off...complete days off too...I have no idea what I'll do with myself! Late finish last night, bed for midnight and then typically 'ping'...wide awake at 6.00am!
Pooch has a vets appointment this afternoon. Earlier in the week he had some skin issues and was in quite a distressed state on Weds afternoon. We actually think it may have been something that has been sprayed on fields/bushes/weeds as its on his 'cocking leg'. Anyway its calmed down completely now so I think we'll end up cancelling (I'll check him whenever he decides to get out of bed).
Tomorrow we have some people coming round to clean and 'restore' the windows, fascias and conservatory so i'll be home all day watching cricket and snoozing.
Moneywise everything is nicely on track and thats including DS2's birthday midweek and grandads birthday. Thankfully we go away for 10days to the caravan on Thursday (or maybe late Weds so we're there for Thurs morning) and its very much needed as we're both mentally shattered now from a demanding work 2019 so far.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Catching up now and then.
Fantastic to hear you've reached the 70's - maybe you should have a 70's night to celebrate
Caravan sounds bliss, especially in the good weather, only we never bother about the weather when we are there, we got a wee upgrade to our decking a couple of months ago and would be nice to be able to use it !!! Enjoy.
Hope pooch is ok, lots of spraying going on, weeds, nettles, etc.
Also had my feet in the pool, but not the kids pool, the dog's pool :rotfl: she loves it !!!
Oh, as for your brick colouring, I know it's cheating, but mental health is better :rotfl:and can you can do whatever you like, as it's your bricks, so no rules really, but I would make them represent a smaller amount for say till the end of the year, or for the next year , then re-assess.
and best news yet is you've cleared your end balance to 00.00 :j  thank you :TAlways have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Great update! Not sure what happened to my notifications (as in, not getting any
- maybe the security service I had after discovering malware a week or 2 ago...)

Thank you AFK. We're not bothered about the weather either, other than when its too hot and you can't go in the van until 11pm!! Although I've used your 0.00 technique my balance is uneven again as i'm OP's my TT pot this morning...turmoil! I think I'll have to mentally use the tactic as a "start the month tidly" (much like the kids bedrooms!).
Suffolk - you are forgiven, but only this time! Your lives have been used up! Though lets be honest you've not exactly missed anything life changing!
Well we had an impromptu bbq at SiL's last night. Mrs SJ head is a tad fuzzy after all the gin, and I feel a big sluggish shall we say. Pooch is fine now. We cancelled the vets appointment so a mini saving there I suppose.
Now we were expecting some workers this morning to given all our fascias, window and conservatory a clean. Unfortunately they haven't showed and following a chat with a neighbour this morning the same firm where supposed to be at their house today as well. I'm not too bothered, someone else can have the business. And I'm holding firm on my scheduled/booked in cricket and snooze day. At a push I may, and I say may, do a pile of washing or put the dishwasher on...but only whilst the kettle is boiling!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Ooh, I meant to add, re your dog - if the field was wheat or barley, it is normal for non-organic farms to spray it about 3 weeks before they think they will harvest (so it looks golden but there is still green, lower down) to prevent the business part of the wheat from falling off the ears - they are waiting for the bottom of the ears to go gold from green and will be testing regularly and watching the weather forecast for the optimum moment to harvest, when there is minimum moisture content. The greater the moisture, the more the grain has to be processed (we have a processing plant opposite one of the farms in our Village).
By the way, research that is going on currently suggests that it is this chemical (it was glyphosate but may now be something else) that causes people problems with wheat, and not the wheat itselfSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Well this morning started with the outside cleaning crew arriving at 8am, just as I was getting the tribe ready for drop off. Only 24hrs late, but home to them having done a cracking job. Strangely no payment method left and I've rung and text with no reply yet.
Then as I've been weighing up what secure message (and when) to send to Natwest up pops a text message saying the payment will be paid by the 9th August. So happy days. Now to decide on where it should nestle...?? I wonder.........
Long day today in work, 11hrs and the last 30mins was scheduled to be a really horrible part of my role. So I spent the day waiting/dreading it. All in all glad for the day to be over. Just got a 2 day conference left before we head to the caravan. So no real work left, other than sitting listening, maybe some interactions/networking, and hopefully (but not expected after seeing the agenda) some new insights to consider.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
