The day early club...love it... I wouldn't mid but we raced in 2mins late with DS2 saying "Are we late again dad?"

Well left for work at 6.30am, and returned at 6.00pm having covered about 250 miles with some work in between. Am showered and waiting for the darts final so that I can snooze away, as I'm shattered!

Anyway, I OP'd the TT pot this morning, but it was only £2.54 as I'd missed a couple of days. It edges me closer to the £70k's which will be hit on Weds with our usual mortgage payment and standard OP. I was also pleased to see that i was in the green on the MFiT challenge at 28% and I have proudly updated my signature.

Hectic 3 days and then my work schedule clears for a bit. I then have a 2 day conference early next week before we go on our 10 day caravan hols. We can't wait!

Great progress as ever SJ! It'll be at least two months before we hit the 70ks.

2 months is a good target to strive for. Now that we have adjusted our plans with more focus on pensions/retirement our MFW quest has extended. As of now it will take us 2 months to colour a £1k block on our house chart, where previously it had been 1 per month. A huge psychological difference!

Still that 29p TT i made this morning will edge us ever closer :D

72p TT this morning and we have the joy of accounts posting tomorrow. Still frustrated with my lack of Natwest switching bonus. I'm wondering if in the distant past that I may have had an account with them?? But really cant remember!!

I feel your block colouring in angst, when we remortgaged we went from jumping into a new £1000 bracket each month to about 9/10 times a year. Those months when I couldn't get my colouring pencil out were just downright sad! :rotfl:

Yep, I'm giving them until Thursday and then I'll send a gentle request. Then look for switching the account elsewhere. I'm just not sure if there are any switch bonuses left to be had??

It's amazing how much the little things like colouring a small square can bring so much joy, and then leave you so bereft when its gone!

The 1st has arrived so that means some excited money shenanigans ahead. Mortgage payment, interest and standard OP has gone out and I've adopted AFK's approach and knocked off the end few digits to make them read 0.00, and this was £3.17. I'm about to post my monthly figures and they don't end in 0.00 for mortgage balance as I am in the process of repaying a small 'loan' that was from OP allocated cash so my figures between spreadsheet and online balance aren't quite right until this is paid in early 2020.

    So here goes...

A lovely milestone as we've demolished the £80k's and are now attacking the £70k's :j

The first month were 2/3's of our previously allocated OP cash has gone to my pension provisions. Now I'm not quite sure how to report this, but will devise (well I steal) a plan:

    Monthly Figures
    • Closing Balance - £79,933.35
    • OP's - £190.06
    • Monthly Reduction - £580.57
    • LTV - 36.17%
    • % Loan Remaining - 58.77%
    • S&S Isa Deposits - £500 (£200 finally sold from P2P and redirected here)

    Diary Figures - 53 Months
    • Total Reduction - £56,067.04
    • Ave Monthly Reduction - £30,859.11
    • Ave Monthly Reduction - £1,057.87
    • Ave OP's - £582.25
    • Total S&S Isa Deposits - £3,049.56
    • S&S Isa Value - £3,217.96 (+5.52%)
