How lovely it is to the current account with 2 sets of pay in it! And our usual paying out day is tomorrow, so the accounts will stay a little fuller till Monday.
I started the day with a 91p TT whilst the kettle was boiling.
I'm loving the hot weather here at SJ Towers. I can't say the same for Mrs SJ or DS1 though!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
I'm hoping today is a little cooler. Feels quite pleasant out there this morning. We did have a little rain last night which helped a bit. The heat in the office was unbearable at work yesterday, just one more day to get through!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thunder storms here - in fact they hit as we were finishing supper and we both raced out to retrieve the almost dry washing, leaving the white stuff over night. No watering for us last night!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Ditto here, extreme heat and lots of rain, in dribs and drabs - only just drying out, though the sun's out again, just about
Glad you're enjoying it, Jimmy.

Massive thunderstorms here too last night. DS4 and I stood outside watching the sky light up until it got a little too close for comfort and we had to scuttle indoors again. The dog hated it and barked at the sky every time it thundered. I am a real sun worshipper normally, but even I had to move into the shade yesterday afternoon !! I guess normally with this heat we are on holiday by a pool. Somehow the garden pond didn't look quite as enticing !Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. I had my feet in the kids paddling pool! That was enough cooling for me! We'd planned an evening in the garden tonight but its quite cloudy and threatening rain, so we've retired to the conservatory instead. To be honest I'm counting the hours down to bedtime. I've had an intense 10days of work. Temporary break tomorrow and then a long Sun-Weds, so I'm hoping for an outside snooze in the afternoon.
At least I have accounts posting to look forward to in 4 days time (that and a few TT's).MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Enjoy your day off Jimmy. Did your NatWest switching bonus arrive yet ? Sorry might have missed it.0

£1.11 TT to start the day (I decided to add an extra £1 to the 11p). Then dashed of with DS2 to a birthday party, only to arrive having got the wrong day...oops...! DS2 not very impressed with me, but at least we were a day early and not a day late! So back home and on the couch with a brew and waiting for a break in the rain to take pooch out for a little walk.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Oh yes, welcome to the day early club! My most impressive was when DH was working in Austria and we were only having a weekend a month together. After three months I went out and we had a great weekend then he dropped me at the airport on Monday morning. It was only when I tried to check in a day early that I realised "You're rather early Madam!" still sticks in my memory. My flight was on Tuesday!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
