SJ if you log onto TSB to open a regular saver you'll do it quick as it's taken me to type this - excellent :T:T:T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • I switched to TSB about 10 days ago and opened a regular saver and the other 2 savings accounts online as well. It literally took 60 seconds.
Like Gally said. It's done in the time I've written this post.
  • GG & MRSP - thanks for info and pleased to say I've opened 2 in double quick time. Once for me and one for Mrs SJ!

    All seems far too efficient!!!!!

  • Oh forgot to say we sold 2 more items yesterday. So they're all packaged and ready for post office this afternoon. We'll make £7.80 after all deductions. This week we've also broken the 500 mark for feedback and so have a different coloured star. Think I'll set a challenge of 750 by Christmas!

  • Can I ask what this "e-account" is you spoke of on Ali's diary. Was just thinking to myself (as I do) that I could be doing with an account to transfer over my bay gains and maybe even TT's - would be a bonus if it added interest.

Good on you re the TSB account, maybe going to switch my N@tionwide account to TSB next, or wait until I have incentive from C1ydesd@1e account then switch them - took them 2 months to switch me - 2 months.
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's

  • Frayed it's just a simple everyday e-saver from FD who have our main current account with. Interest is pitiful, but the money is only for pennies and is moved out again within 7 days to the mortgage. I'm pretty sure all the banks will have an esaver, or a internet saver.

I only use it for the daily TT's.

  • £1 TT'd this morning. Amazingly I've TT'd £1 on 5 out of the 6 days so far this week. This points to a very frugal week. Mrs SJ's birthday on Thursday so the pressure us on.... I'm useless with presents and if only I could truly describe the anxiety on her face when she opens my presents! Fortunately she accepts it now after 12yrs and at least we set limits on each other so we don't waste money for the sake of it! The last couple of birthdays we've done a night out, hotel etc...for each of our birthdays figuring time is more important than buying stuff, but with a 4 wk old that's out if the equation.

    I've TT'd £1 too :D

Am pretty rubbish with getting the right presents for people too, so apart from the rare moment of inspiration, it's mostly gifts they've asked for or money/gift cards :o . I'll refrain from suggestions based on that and wish you luck!
