  • Alex - yesterday was nanny and grandad day out! So they had the boys somewhere for the day. I supplied a packed lunch and they they were home and shattered for tea! Today may be similar too as DS1 is at his friends and DS2 having a day with his grandma! On second thoughts I have a prescription to collect for an inhaler so that'll cost - damn staying alive medicine!

In light of yesterday I've TT'd £1 this morning

Poor pooch too. Mrs SJ mum bought him a bone which at first drives him demented looking for a place to hide it, then drives me crackers helping him find it, then he's been a greedy sod and eaten it all through the night! Thought he looked sheepish when I got up and sure enough he'd been sick all over the kitchen! Grr!

Debt free - I somehow have to subliminally convince her that's the best idea, so she thinks it's all her idea and I don't get blamed 2 yrs later when we've no money for a new patio ;)

  • Frayed and Lynn, it's small stories like that when I'm really glad I'm not self employed! We're fortunate in our j s that Mrs SJ works for a national company that really looks after its good employees (ruthless if your rubbish too), and I'm now the 3rd longest serving at my firm and am seen as a fixture and fitting (14yrs)!

Oh dear. Our boys have recently "discovered" the bone that's been sitting in the lounge for almost a year (got it as a welcome gift for the greyhound). The past couple of days they've been taking turns being obsessed with it...for 3 minutes. They seem to have forgotten it again now.
  • SJ - was self employed - many moons ago.

Ali-OK - Brrrr - not sure if you would be letting in the fresh air if you lived here, we have pockets of sleet/snow lying. Brrrrr.

  • Well I've been on the verge of the dreaded large settling on my chest and I'm always anxious given being an asthma sufferer! I battled through 30hrs of work n the last few days and thought us escaped until this morning. Typically day off and coughing of some lovely colours!

Our £5k has cleared this morning so this should trigger the elephant conversation! Also TT,d another £1 this morning, so £3.85 so far this week.

  • Oh no, the dreaded bug, took me around 3 weeks to get rid and not completely clear yet

Take care, as winter weather is meant to be with us around now/weekend. Rest up if you can, what with 2 boys and new baby :)

Nice to think about what you both are going to do with the pressie you received. Made me start wondering what I would do with £5000 ........ A girl can dream, can't she :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • As its £5000 could you have £1000 each to do as you will (well you decide for the 3 little ones obviously, savings for them) Mrs SJ chooses what to do with hers, then you um and ar and then obviously end up OPing!
  • OCC the only issue is we've no more room in the house for anymore Mrs SJ shoes!! It's such a hard decision!

  • Sorry to be a pain - I think I'm late to the party here - what is this 5k that everyone is talking about and where did it come from?
