    Go on then.....

I'm 38, Divorced, rent a house in Surrey, I love the area, non plussed about the house itself. I own and run my own stone import company (Marble, Limestone granite etc),which is expanding reasonably fast. This is my work, rest and play (hence divorced). When I'm not working (that'll be Sunday then!) I play Golf if it's not raining. I have a one year old Cocker Spaniel called Dave, He's bonkers, but extremely loyal.

Most of the time I realise that I'm not overly bothered I'm single, at this point in my life with my business I wouldn't be doing any sort of relationship any justice, but I do miss the company of someone to eat dinner with or go to the movies etc...

(weeps after the travertine and granite debacle on site) Can you get me some pretty outdoor paving for less than £12.50+VAT?

Ha, ha, yeah not doing bad for 80. Even paying a mortgage on my pension :-)

No, the other guys didn't have houses and I agree I would probably prefer to meet someone with a house as it would be easier financially, but it is a bit offputting when you suspect they're seeing it as a way onto the property ladder.

Also, most of the girls I know are not 'moneygrabbers', most have their own places and are independent.

Gwen, you're single. Want to date any of our gorgeous guys?!

We'll need to vet you first, of course! Not just anyone for our boys :D

Just realised I wasn't aiming that last point at you, ixwood. Just getting the impression from folks on here that all these 'moneygrabbing' women are after half their house etc, etc.

If there's any grabbing to be done then I've got other assets that I'd prefer to be grabbed first.

Depends. They don't have to be rich, but they do have to be good at DIY.
