#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

It's often true though! My girlfriend is always on at me to buy, even though she doesn't even live with me. I keep pointing out how nice my flat is, and showing her the sort of place I could buy, but she still doesn't quite get it.

    Of course she's objectionably rich...
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!

It's true you know. When they ask where I live, they often say "did you buy or are you just renting"

Though my mate who bought a bungalow (thanks to 60K gifted from his mam) could still only afford to live in a grubby estate surrounded by pensioners, whereas I'm living on the sea front with beach views from my living room window. He walks out of his front door and steps on dog sh*t or get shouted down by an oldie, I walk out of my door onto the sand and for a swim :T

(apologies if I've offended any pensioners!)

It goes the other way, too. I'm searching for a rich woman with her own large house and grounds. Preferably deaf and mute with significant endowments other than her money and house.

To be honest, the search does not go well and I'm considering accepting any natural colour of hair.

Well as a young woman who now owns her own house, I find it doesn't work in my favour and men are intimidated by it!!

I have to say it doesn't bother me - it's the person that counts not the assets they've got!

Well, I can tell you right now that anyone who looked at my "ownership" of a flat ( or any other piece of kit) as something attractive, it would be the last I saw of them ;)

My OH thinks its pretty attractive Im not part of the herd mentality :p
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Well the size of the mortgage isn't that huge in comparison to today's market place. It might be the fact I'm 6ft! that might be what intimidates them the most!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
