women prefer homeowners not renters.....

This is invariably the second or third question I am asked when I meet a lady. I'm still not moving out of my cushy 3-bed rented place in a good area to buy a crummy 1-bed in the red light district though...:rotfl: I take this question as an indication that she is looking for someone to [STRIKE]rip off[/STRIKE] marry. It is better to rent than buy...this goes for the ladies as well as houses.0

I think it's probably true that women prefer homeowners - but I don't think the psychology of that is purely due to "he's got his own place, he must be wealthy".
Women (generally) want someone who is stable, and home-owning men are seen as more stable than someone who rents. A man who rents at the age of 30 starts the warning bells flashing.
My boyfriend is a City (interest rates!) trader, and he rents - but's he 24, and also not British. I don't think any less of him. If he was 30, I might start to think something was odd about the fact he earns good money but hasn't bought a property.
He thinks the London property market is over-valued, incidentally.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
btw for a moment id thought he was holding a spliff in that vid0

Actually, I only watched the video (well, 30 seconds of it) after I made the post above.
I am fairly certain that all woman would prefer ANY renting man over Bruno.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

At 24 I was a property owner, but with a large mortgage and my net worth was probably about £10k. Ten years later I am now over 30 and a renter with a net worth approaching seven figures. Those that flaunt it are often not the ones that have it!0 -

Couldn't agree more!
I don't know if you're married/in a relationship, but my comment still stands about women prefering someone who is stable (depending on how old they are). Renters aren't seen as stable, even those with a high net worth like yourself. That said, if want an attractive 24 year old Russian, you're probably not going to have a problem finding one
