Unfortunately unless a sufficient number of people report the spam, posts remain and probably also the user. I've just reported as spam the first index page of all those posts, but can't face the second page yet.
Board Guides ought to be given discretionary powers to take out such obvious spammers (and therefore all their posts), which would simplify things immensely for admin.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Three of which have still to be removed more than five hours later.

Both on the credit card board.
Moneysupermarket Group plc's increased profits from selling credit cards was mentioned in its trading statement, as was MSE's improved website!

As MSE hasn't answered questions and Martin Lewwis has not given updates as promised, an option would be to record stats today displayed on the home page for threads and posts. This information could be given to the Advertsing Standards Authority for it to consider whether the marketer's claims are true. MSE could not ignore the ASA.0 -
I am no expert, but the spam posts seem to have been deleted quickly so MSE seems to be doing something. Well done. *
It still leaves questions about stats but if MSE gives the promised updates here, there would be no need to report it to the ASA.
* Spoke too soon, 7.00am spammers's posts were quickly removed, but new members have continued as noted by recent complaints
This site's owner has the knowledge and resources to deal with it

Spam should not be left to volunteers as requested by Martin Lewis who asked everyone to carry on clicking the spam button. He promised updates. As he has not provided these, everyone should stop clicking the spam buttons. MSE should be forced to pay for professional resources to run its highly profitable website properly, like any other serious business.0 -
I notice the spam is starting to trickle in again.
It'd be nice to get a confirmation from MSE that they are tweaking their defences to deal with this, before the whole cycle starts again, and the trickle becomes a flood.Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Could there not be a simple button next to each post to report each one that is obviously spam without having to go through the process of opening/reporting/closing etc0

Look like they are learning, no spam at 6AM, but by 7am, loads so instead of doing it at night, they now hit it at 7!0

Whatever steps have been taken up to now clearly hasn't worked other than cause problems to genuine members.
The sooner they realise the answer is first post approval the better IMOIt's not just about the money0
