Thanks but sorry she got about 8 pairs of slippers  and loads scarf and gloves :(

You could give her some new bathroom scales to replace those dodgy ones she has, but she probably would not appreciate the thought ...

I can't remember how I found it. Used to look at the Boots thread -- still using some of the amazing glitches from then -- and came on board (a bit late) when the Tesco PP thing was booming, before the Royal Wedding ended it all. After that I think I sort of wandered around thinking that life was a bit boring until I found you all on here!

    attention all dog owners

a new product here http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=purina%20one%20dog%20food contains the same deadly toxic chemical that is killing dogs all across America see article here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2986195/3m-lawsuit-claims-Purina-Beneful-dog-food-contains-lethal-toxins.html the chemical propylene glycol is basically antifreeze and it causes kidney damage fits blindness and ultimately death I have witnessed a cat dying like this and those screams will haunt me till my dying day please DO NOT feed your dog this product in fact even better boycott Purina and tell them why stay safe elite xxx

Do you have a link that links that actual product Purina One Dog Small Dog to the 'dangerous stuff' please? I have seen warnings about the US product Purina Benaful for some time now and share these on FB but not seen any link with warning about any other Purina product. The article quoted says that the product (Benaful) is available here in UK on Amazon, etc

I agree that no-one should be using Purina Benaful after the publicity it has received and what has happened to these poor dogs. I have to say that I am currently using One Dog Small Dog for my little Millie, half and half with NatureDiet Wet, but only due to getting free samples and coupons and have seen no change in her. I am slowly mixing it with other food now, her normal Burgess Sensitive, as I am on the last bag and will be getting her back onto her normal diet. I actually shocked myself that I was using this Small Dog food for Millie, when I take such care in using very good quality food for my Berry Bear and now Noela, and it was pointed out to me that One Dog has wheat in it, which I avoid for them

Tweets...are you looking for suggestions for mothers day presents apart from the obvious chocolate or flowers....

my mums house used to get really hot too..have you thought about maybe an artificial orchid or indeed any other artificial flowers, they really are very convincing nowadays and my mum even used to water hers!!...many a time I had to resuce the potted daffs from water...

other than that how about some nice shower gel or soaps or even shampoo if you dont already keep her filled up with the glitch stuff...
or a new nightie those always went down well with my mum....as did any form of cake or sweets....for some strange reason as mine got older she also liked a teddy bear and a helium balloon, not that thats a suggestion for yours though...unless you really think she might appreciate either!!

It is really difficult buying for someone who has most things ...but hopefully your mum will just be happy to spend some time with you over the weekend

I have looked in the florist around the corner at her artificial flowers in vases and don't think mum would appreciate them Mum already got artificial daffodils and a bunch mixed flowers.

She got plenty of shampoo and doesn't use shower gel . DS bought her smelly soap from lush at Christmas.
If I had found the 1p chocs finest ones I would have been sorted they her favourites .

Confession time  I also have to buy a bit something from her darling Poppy nana's favourite. A bar chocolate will make her happy from Poppy. :D

Orchid looks like favourite at the moment :)

Evening all, just a quick pop in.
Went to pound land after work and after much digging around at the back of the shelf, I found the packs of break a ways 8+8 free. So they are out there. My local had put all the 8 only packs in the front. Plenty left if any locals to me need them.

    Hi everyone :)

I'm sorry to confess that I'm a bit of a lurker but have done a few instore shops at a's.

I took the plunge this morning and did my first c+c for the udi's and applied for my apg straight away, I know the vouchers come through on Tues afternoon so should I get mine today or will it be next week?

I also took the plunge and did my first bni this afternoon and got the £10 pp, would you use this to do another one or is it best to use it against something else?

Thanks for all your help and all the great glitches! :)

    Hello :hello:

You will get your apg next Tuesday for the shop you did today.

This propylene glycol debate has been raging for a while now......that's the name of the chemical you refer to, it's also known as E1520. It's used in many foods, cosmetics and toiletries. You have probably worn it or eaten something with it in today! Yes it is used in anti-freeze and other such products in different concentrations.

A couple of points about this article and what it doesn't say. The USA regulations and the EU regulations on the use of it and what amounts are allowed vary greatly so it's unlikely that EU regs would allow harmful amounts to be present in anything.
This chemical isn't permitted in catfood. It's known to be harmful to them.

That article is the Daily Mail at its scaremongering best. Not saying there's nothing in it just that they've missed a lot of facts out!

Not being argumentative at all :o just giving the other side to this. People can make their own minds up as to what's safe and what's not for their pets.

of course quite correct and it is in the dog food Purina One not cat food I saw a cat die of antifreeze poisoning so I won't risk any of my dogs lives and plus there are loads of other brands that don't contain it at all so why play roulette with a best friend and this is my side lol xxx
We are many we are one xxx

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

enjoying reading how everyone stumbled on the thread, I pressed the wrong link and ended up here during the tesco dtd on groceries if more expensive. I lurked for a bit as was so confused how everyone was making profit on their shopping, then jumped in and the lovely nikkilala made me welcome. and I have stuck around since :D

Oh yes an orchid- I was then going to suggest that, does she do any puzzles or wordsearch, these are always handy to have as a little extra from poppy:)

No mum doesn't do puzzles nor read magazines. She reads books but at Christmas she had 9 books waiting to be read :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I found the elite because I had a problem with my laptop and searched for answer . It fetched MSE up and I solved my problem. Then I looked through new posts and found the elite but was ages before I posted anything :D
