I honestly can't remember how I found this thread.

May have stumbled on it by accident, or may have found it via paid to shop. I know it was around the time when PP came in at Tesco before they were limited (that was great, remember doing some £100 ones! ;)), and when we were getting everything for something like 37p at Asda on the APG. Still got 2 bottles of head and shoulders left from then, but everything else long gone.

For whoever it was that mentioned the garlic capsules, I had 2 boxes of those that I threw out a couple of years ago. Think that was one of the best points promotions ever, along with the Johnsons baby talc (still have a box full in the garage). Paid for my car from motorpoint with those!

    but no asda, Tesco :p

Nope. Our larger supermarkets are called Pick n Pay, Checkers, OK Bazaars and the smaller ones are Spar (about the size of a typical Co-op).

I thought I had hit the jackpot when I first encountered an Asda and a Tesco as superstores are so much bigger here than they are in South Africa. I couldn't believe that there were two aisles full of bread and bakery items. And the varieties available in these items ..... unbelievable!!

There is also no 24 hour shopping. Stores close at lunch time on Saturday and open again on Monday morning. And you cannot buy alcohol on a Sunday.

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

You could give her some new bathroom scales to replace those dodgy ones she has, but she probably would not appreciate the thought ...

    A homemade fruit basket?

DS bought her a pair digital ones just like mine for her birthday so she now weighs on both and I get her weight from both sets. 9st-10 old and 10st-2 new. :rotfl::rotfl:
