Keeping up with the new bedtime routine and sleeping better than in a long time.
Also have more energy in the daytime too.
Summer is getting in the way of making some money but I knew that was going to be the case. Had some serious discussions with my wife about the future. I'm quite seriously thinking about moving away from effectively working for my parents and starting a new career.2018 totals:

Ok what have you done with Alex? :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Good to hear you so positive Alex . I'm delighted you are ignoring parents' attempts to alternatively blame you /buy you off. They're behaving like small children that can't get their own way. They'll be stamping their feet next.
So pleased that all is going well with LittleK's holiday and with MrsK. 😃0 -

Thanks, HS.
I suppose I've taken note of things others have said (some on here, some in "real life") and realised I need to move on. I cannot carry on living in the past, hoping I'll wake up from nigh on a decade of life, change what happened and live my life with the hindsight I now have. It's not good for my son, my wife or myself. For years I've been looking to the past, sad that I can hardly recognise myself (metaphorically speaking), when I should be rather pleased I no longer really recognise that person. Of course I would like to make amends for past misdemeanours and for the way I treated others but I cannot carry on letting the past rule my life anymore.
Summer is being very kind to us and I treasure every moment I have with my son.smallholdingsister wrote: »Go you! Alex you are on fire!
Thank you, smallholding.
Also, thanks re. pony club. My cousin thinks my son would love it and I'm going to contact my area's representative.choccielover wrote: »Best post ever Alex

Sent him to Timbuktu.I know, if he doesn't buy another car in the next week we'd best get up there and look for him .
:rotfl: Welllll... I'm always looking for a new toy or two.Sorry, don't think I'm going to be able to shake that 'habit'.

Thank you, maman.
I don't find it easy to counter my parents' wishes but in this case I cannot let them have their own way. It's not good for my son to be in the sort of environment where they get exactly what they want whilst being so obtuse.
I think Goldie said on here a while back that I could choose to do anything with my life and do not have to become the custodian of the house I grew up in at the expense of my marriage and potentially my relationship with my son.2018 totals:

I'm glad things seem to be falling into place for you Alex, it's liberating to free yourself of the worry about other people's expectations of you. You can do whatever you want!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
