OK, so now I'm shamed
into decluttering, started on my wardrobe already, and 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of boots, 1 pair of slippers and 2 handbags - away to skip. I have brand new brollies x 3, 2 pairs brand new shoes and 2 brand new handbags that need re-homed
so they are well and truely installed in my 3rd bedroom/now called stock room/gift centre :rotfl: Now I'm away to start on my everyday wardrobe
I've got the bug
:rotfl: I don't know about putting you to shame, AFK. The past day hasn't been particularly productive.2018 totals:

Nothing to update re. finances so far this week and the weather has been awful. There's a lot of illness / coughs / chest infections going around my son's school at the moment. He seems OK but I'm a bit under the weather. Currently, we're prepping for a school play and I'm going to be playing the piano. Managed to rope my wife in to help with making scenery too. Also managed to put together a small c.30 minute recital for all the children who play instruments which is a first at my son's school. My son is very excited and is currently trying to persuade more children to take up learning to play an instrument so the recitals can be more "professional" (his word :rotfl:
).
Very busy with music teaching at the moment as I've managed to put together a much more substantial and diverse recital afternoon at the school I volunteer at and have also had exams. Next week I'm going to a large junior school for a few days to see how they work.
Still haven't thought about the summer holiday much. So far I know we're going to two agricultural shows, a couple of horsey events with my cousin, Wollaton Hall in Nottingham and possibly Rutland Water.
As a result of this no decluttering has been done but at least it's a rather cheap week which should be positive for our OP target.2018 totals:

What about the wildlife park in Doncaster? Clumber park is also lovely and has lots of events going on over the holidays.0

You are making such a difference to so many children with the music teaching you do. As a parent, I think you are giving a wonderful gift to those children.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Thank you, choccielover.Fantastic suggestions: one I knew nothing about (wildlife park) and one I'd not considered.
Had a look at the wildlife park in Doncaster, it looks fantastic and I'll definitely take him. Clumber park also looks lovely and is apparently the best place to see the hawfinch. Fairly sure Hardwick Hall is on the way to Clumber park, so could possibly make it into a big day out.2018 totals:

Thanks for clarifying how the direct debit works, EON. To be honest, I'd only ever paid quarterly for my energy before and have calmed down a little since. I perhaps didn't enter kwh as the unit for comparison into uswitch when I swapped.
You're welcome AlexLK. Happy to help.
Forgot to mention this before but there's lots of tips on our website to help you save money by saving energy. When you've a spare minute, check out the 'Saving Energy' section. Might be something there to help you cut back a bit.

No problem. I can also confirm Hardwick hall is also lovely and a bird spotters paradise. Nostall Priory also.

Thank you once again.
Just looked up Nostall Priory which is 50 miles from here but looks worth a visit.I don't mind a drive out so long as we pick a good day and go in one of the classics. Thinking a trip to Nostall then a drive around the Yorkshire Dales ... not been up there in a long time.

Had a really bad day today. Dark thoughts all day and feeling like a complete failure. What I'd like to achieve seems completely beyond me at the moment, very frustrating. I know I'm difficult to be around when I'm like this.
Productivity has been almost non-existent and I should've had time to put a few items up for sale and do some work.
