No, I'm a Capricorn and according to google my personality is defined by my "hardworking and patient nature". Well, I reckon I fail both times, there. :rotfl:

:T Yeah :T You've been working overtime :rotfl: Keep us updated :A

Just looked mine up on google and "liked" this one best, even if its nothing like me :rotfl:

A fearless and natural leader, an Aries woman is charismatic, energetic, and ... has to be strong and a match for her own personality or she will lose interest.

OK, well maybe the "lose interest" bit is true :) As for the rest - I was the quiet one, very very shy, quiet spoken, but did and still do - work hard for a living - being born on a Saturday :rotfl:

I was completely confused by the link you sent. Googlebooks is usually good. Anyhow, I will have a look on Amazon for it. :)

Just looked up REBT. The problem is whilst reading about various therapies, I understand and think it seems a good idea. However, I don't seem to manage to put any of the theory into practice. An example being (not really a therapy, I don't think but anyhow, it's the most simple to explain) I was told to look at myself in a mirror and say "I'm a good person" or something along those lines. I couldn't do it as I didn't believe the statement.
    (

One of the reasons that REBT is my therapy modality of choice is that it doesn't expect you to do twee, unrealistic things like this. Because actually you're not a good person, no one is, you are a complex, fallible human being, you are capable of both bad and good and will have done both good and bad things. So to rate yourself globally, either as good or bad, is a nonsense and doesn't acknowledge our humanness. But placing demands on yourself such as I must have what others have, life must be fair etc, will leave you utterly miserable. And that's what I often read on here. But you need s break from therapy. Continuous therapy with different people for many years is just an indulgence and proves you aren't committed to it or working in therapy, it's used as a way to justify misery. Take a good break, at least 6 months if not 12, then start afresh...if you need to.

One thing would be good to get started but think I need to be a little more productive... if I were to list one item per week I think it'd take to retirement to sort out. ;)
If you want to see results but can't commit a lot of time then start by selling the largest items. Maybe set yourself a target of one a week, but if something sells list another item the same day?

BTW, only a few weeks till the ospreys are on their way, if little LK is still interested remember to check the website so he can track one home :)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hello, slowlyfading. :) It's nice to hear from you, I hope you're well and everything is getting better for you now.

Once you get into the swing of things, you could list more than that, I'm just saying it as a starting point. Nothing overwhelming, but I'm sure with the things you own, you'd see results pretty quickly :)

Thanks, Gally. :) Largest items would be a good idea. :)

My son is still mad about animals, perhaps even more so than last year. :D Thank you for reminding me about the ospreys, we will definitely be tracking them. :)

    Thanks, SF. :)

Selling one item per week to begin makes a lot of sense to me.

Today has been terrible. Very little work got done despite good intentions yesterday. After an awful night's sleep, I had a bad panic attack at my son's school this morning. Still am a little on edge. However, I've realised this has got to stop and it's in no way acceptable for me to be embarrassing my son like this and not being able to keep appointments.

As a result, I've done nothing towards my March target but am hoping to do something tomorrow (even if it's just to identify a few things and put them in a place ready to prep / photograph). :)

Thanks, re. Tuesday. :) Also, thank you for giving me something of a "deadline", think I needed that.

I think for my 1 month target I will vow to make £500 from unwanted / no longer used items. That would clear a little of the clutter in the house and boost the savings a little.

Checking in late after my night out...

Unfortunately, I've only to mentally identify a couple of items as I've been out since 10am and got back at midnight. It's been nice to spend some time with Mrs K, though. :) Managed to keep my anxiety broadly under control, even though I'm not sure what's triggering it at the moment.

    Regarding Challenge 1:
    How long? 1 month.
    How much? £500.
Doing what? Decluttering large car parts that are no longer needed / wanted.
Updates? Initially, I'm going to update daily, even if it's just to say I've not doing anything but the challenge is still in my mind. If I find daily is too much I'll post an update once per week.

Thank you, A Frayed Knot. :)

Trust me, he'll embarrass you enough in the years to come - get your revenge in early :rotfl:.

Seriously, hope you're feeling better. Panic attacks are terrifying but remember no-one actually died from one. GG x
