Sounds like a good day indeed, Alex!0

Another good day had with my son and parents apart from having a terrible night's sleep. We went to Eyam for the afternoon. Parents enjoyed their first Landy picnic, though I think they're probably a little old for it, really. Not much in the way of work done as a consequence of the trip out, though.
Tomorrow my son is going to my cousin's for a day with the horses and I am going to get some work done during the daytime. Then we have guests coming over for dinner.
No plans for Thursday and Friday apart from dog walking and music. This half term isn't looking exactly action packed but son seems happy and we're managing to cover some topics not yet covered at school as well as the fun stuff.
Alcohol free days are up to 14 for this month so far, which I'm rather pleased with for both health and moneysaving reasons. Also been cooking lots of nice meals. Mrs K has taken her own lunch to work for both days so far this week, so we've all been good and actually rather frugal for once.

Ooh Eyam famous for the plague?0

Yes, smallholding. It's only 7 miles away from Bakewell. I think one of the few "famous" places in Derbyshire along with Castleton (Blue John) and Cromford (Arkwright's Mill).
We've puddings, some freaky stone, the birth of the industrial revolution (yes, blame us) and the black death ... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Half Term doesn't need to be full-on activities Alex, sounds like you're managing a good mix of interesting things to do and downtime for LittleK and great that your parents are getting out and about a bit as well. Why are they too old for a Landy Picnic? I often see elderly people at beauty spots just sitting in the car with a flask and sandwiches. If it widens their horizons a bit, it has to be a good thing.
You've got me curious now. Who's coming for dinner?:)0 -

Thanks, maman.I was concerned the half term I've planned is perhaps not as good as previous ones. Whilst I am a bit better and more positive, my mind still isn't in the greatest place. Know that shouldn't impact on my son, though.
We don't have picnics inside the Landy! Either we sit on the edge of the boot area with the door open or on a travel rug. I don't suppose my parents are too old really, I should've just thought about their comfort a little more especially as it was rather cold today. Anyhow, they enjoyed today. You've got me curious now. Who's coming for dinner?:)

No, I just wondered if it was the Scummies?:rotfl:
Are you taking LittleK to see them as planned during Half Term?
I'll leave you to it now as I'm sure you're busy being a Domestic Goddess!:D0 -

:rotfl:, no!
We're going to see them on Saturday. Though it hasn't been long as we went there about 2 weekends ago as we went to see some potential company cars for Mrs K.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Very funny.
Tonight was really good, though I've not managed to have an alcohol free day I only had one glass of wine with dinner. Had a decent night's sleep, so managed to do some work during the day and more planned to do tomorrow. Hopefully I should earn a few pennies from that.
ETA: Mrs K has taken her own lunch to work again today. Rather pleased she's doing this, not just to save money but I think it's much healthier. Today I read an article about the amount of sugar in Starbucks / Costa coffees. One of the Starbucks ones had, IIRC, 25 teaspoons. My wife went through a phase of eating nothing all day and drinking a large cup of one of these coffees, so this is a big improvement for her to be taking lunch to work and drinking water.2018 totals:

Thanks, NG.
Rather sad the half term is over and son will be back to school on Monday. To be honest, it's selfish to want him home purely because he takes my mind away from the negative. For 3 days next week my wife is going to be away with work, son will be at school and my parents have decided they're going to Spain for two weeks.
Nothing financial to report and I haven't done much work over the past day. However, I have some plans for the business.2018 totals:
