I have an iPhone and think it is far from a toy. It is my phone, my email, my web browser, my address book, my diary, my instant messenger, my web banking, my internet router, my sat nav, my music player, my camera.

Find me a landline phone that can do all that.

To be fair you don't need to spend loads of money on an iphone to get that.

£100 will get you a phone that will do the above.

Agree. Some people don't need to spend £18,000 on a car because you can buy one for £250 off auto trader.

Absolutely, but nowhere near as well or enjoyable as the iPhone does those things.
  • I have the iPhone 6 128gb. I could spend £100 on something less but you can't take The saving with you beyond the grave.
  • It's about time MSE forums had a mobile version or a forum app.

I prefer the iOS environment over Android but my cheap Android phone does all the things I use an iphone for just as well.

As enjoyable? Never really thought about the "enjoyment" factor.

Enjoyment is definitely a factor worth considering for a device that's used as frequently as a smartphone.

Possibly if that is important to the user.

I can't imagine for anything other than the most basic of user, enjoyment isn't a huge factor when purchasing a device.

Honestly never thought about it as an enjoyable thing.

There are many things that smart phones do that are ...erm smart but as to finding them enjoyable that has obviously passed me by.

Wouldn't be without one though these days.
