    Got fleeced by tesco today.
    I had 2 H&B £2.50 off toiletries vouchers and bought -
    2 x dove hand cream @ £1.89 BOGOF
    2 x Adidas Deodorant @ £2.28 BOGOF
    1 x Exfoliator glove @ 50p
    2 x Johnsons baby moisturising cream @ 98p

    Total = £10.80

When I got to the self scan, it said 'MINIMUM SPEND NOT MET' or something like that.
After I'd finished I took the coupon to CS, and she said it was because Johnsons baby moistursing cream is not considered a toiletry!!!
Has this happened to anyone else?
would this happen with any Johnsons baby item?
Take it you meant SB's the HB's expired Sunday.

My store never fails to amaze me. Guess what they suddenly have 'so beautiful' books!!!

Did my last quit/SB shop on SS and spread all my remaining quits round the shelves in the hope that somebody will find them.

Went back again Saturday night and bought a £35.00 kettle to use my £6.00 electrical voucher ( intending to return it next day). However when I got to the self service till it came up as £25.00 and I had only spent £28.03 in total so I had to grab a shoe polish to make it over £30.00. I then used the voucher got £6.00 off and promptly returned it next day and got the full £25.00 back so free shopping again!!
Sunday I went ot the new big store to use my £6.00 clothing vouchers. Bought 2 cashmere sweaters at £35.00 each.

You DO know you didnt have to buy electricals or clothes for the coupons to work...You could have just bought £30(after bogof) of almost anything and the £12 would come off, SA depending of course

Not in Bristol, I too tried and failed but did on two shops return clothes so saved money in the end.

I like using coupons as much as anyone but I feel rather uneasy about buying stuff to use the coupons but with no intention of keeping the goods. This really does seem like cheating. With judicious, legal use of coupons we can get a good deal from Mr. T. Let's be careful not to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs

some milk (still with Cranberry coupon ;) )

Plus 2 free packs of cranberries.
Sorry a bit OT, but what's the deal with the free cranberries, please? :) Is the coupon on the milk for a free pack? Or does it work on a smaller pack?

    Hi Dormouse -

This started last week (or was it the week before? all a bit of a blur with Half Term etc). On Tesco's Semi Skimmed milk, the 4pt size, is a coupon printed on the inside of the plastic label for a 49p pack of Ocean Spray cranberries. Only a small snacksize pack, but hey, it's free! Coupon valid till 31/12, starting with 99 and scanning for some peeps without buying the cranberries. Not for me, but am building a nice little stockpile of the cranberry packs :D . They are to be found in the Home Baking section of Tesco btw.

HTH. I am planning on using mine in Fruitburst Muffins, some use them for petfood, also good for adding to cereal apparently. (not the pets, the cranberries ;) ).

    Poundsinbucks x :D

    Hi all.
I too missed MSE desperately over the last few days but us gave me time to use up all my vouchers ( after I had sent you all a few! ) On Friday I went to a new big store near me and spent £47.00 and managed to get it down to £14.52 with vouchers. Saturday I went again and the young make cashier rejected all my vouchers as his till said "not yet valid"? for my coupons. So I was left with a shop of over £50.00 ( after bogof) for which I was going to use £25.00 of vouchers. I was a bit peeved so I went to Customer Services and gave over about £7.50 of vouchers and complained and she gave me a refund for that amount. I was still out of pocket so I went ot my local store and took back 4 x Glucomasine tablets which were bogof at £5.98 each but instead of £11.96 refund she gave me £23.92. I then felt much better.
Bought 2 cashmere sweaters at £35.00 each , went to self service till , did 1st one and forgot to use voucher!!!, 2nd one went through ok. I then went ot the cs desk and she gave me the £6.00 for the forst one. Phew!!
Yesterday I went to the store and took back the sweaters and got the full price back.
Now just have a few Quit it to use today and a few SB.
Now I dont think everyone should worry about Mr T finding out who you are. Do you think they really care! The idea is to get you in to spend and you do, so what if you get a few deals they can afford it.
Now off to London for the weekend with my daughter to stay in our Hoxton Hotel £1.00 room!!!
I love MSE & all the good deals and people on here!!
One problem you cant move in my house for toiletries and talcum powder!!!

It's good that you hand out coupons, etc, to people on here, and because of that I'll probably get replies telling me I'm wrong for saying this, but I class it as theft though if you're using coupons, then returning items for the full refunds. I hope you're found out and banned from the store (honestly).
