  • Welcome back:beer:
Good news about the hand cream.

Managed to use some few coupons on Sunday - but really missed this forum as tried to come on on Sat/Sun to get good combo's - so did not do so well without the advice on here! Lack of energy and brain power due to ME means I have to keep my shopping short and sweet, I start off ok and then loose the plot if I do not have a list.

HELP PLEASE - I have some quits and SB left - can anyone give me some good combo's for tomorrow.

    Many thanks.:D

This is what I did last night with just SB and Quits:

4 x Addidas APD £2.28 each on BOGOF
    4 x Tesco 29p Toothpaste

    Used
    1 x £2.50 SB
    2 x £1.25 Quit
    4 x 40p Colgate

Leaves 88p towards your other shopping.

  • Thank goodness the site is back I had such a good shop at the weekend and my friends really dont get excited about coupons like people on here!!Thanks to everyone on here who has posted combos, I have used alot in the boxes for the soldiers, and some bits for me. On sat I used the Dove, sanex combo, and brought a cashmere jumper reduced to 4.25 cos whenever I tried to use the clothing one they said you didnt buy clothing (bah!!) and the coupon went through, and they over charged me for jumper so took it cs and got double the difference back (8.50) so was really chuffed with that. Then sunday sold the jumper at car boot for 10.00!! And sold some of the other toiletries aswell!!!
I miss my mum every minute of every day  R.I.P xx

Had a dreadful weekend couponing!!!! Think I might retire.

Went to buy a load of food for a BBQ, first £40ish shop went thru ok using 2 £6ers that leadhead so kindly sent me. Scanner very kindly relieved me of a handful of other coupons too, so naturally decided to take 2nd frozen shop thru his till too. When done saw that a guy had just started piling a huge trolley of goods on his conveyor belt, so decided to double up and go for a £60 shop to waste a bit of time, added a few H&B just to bulk it up. Got to his till, all went thru nicely, he scanned coupons and asked for my clubcard........just as the girl on the next till decided she was bored and looked over to see what we were doing. "how many packs of burgers have you got? Don't you know you're only allowed to put thru a maximum of 10 of each item? Haven't you been validated, you really need to be validated if you don't know that. Oh, and what are those coupons there? (imagine voice of little girl telling the teacher) Sue, Sue, he is putting thru coupons for things they haven't bought. And he's letting them have more than 10 of each item."

So over trots the supervisor who promptly voids all of my coupons. Couldn't dump it and leave as really needed the burgers and they were last 11 boxes on the shelf (I could have done with 15 really!!)

Anyway, cheered up by the arrival of some peach H&B coupons in the post from another very kind MSEr (Rose28454) decided to do a H&B shop Sunday to use them all up. I admit I probably overdid it a bit but I'm sure many of you have had much bigger shops for less!! I bought £32 clothes, £18 hc, £23 toiletries plus other stuff, total b4 bogof £90ish, after £70ish, used £6ers and H&B/QK to get total to pay down to £26. Went back round (ok, that was the silly bit I know, should have quit while I was ahead) just to use up the last few I had (only 1 £6er and about £10 of H&B/QK with other shopping inc £20 clothing as couldn't find another £10 worth in my boys sizes) and got a girl who was very picky about what I could use. I didn't query it, but was then approached by a security guard who had a go at me about using "£60" of coupons for "goods I hadn't bought" in my previous shop, as well as coupons for 300 points. I pointed out that I had no way used £60 worth (I knew was about £45) and in fairness I had bought most of the products as listed on the coupons. Fortunately I hadn't used any other MOCs or DMs. He carried on having a go, and told me they had taken them out of the till after I left, and kept reiterating to everyone listening that I had used £60 worth (my till receipt shows differently but hey!) and he reported me to CS who were going to investigate my account. Unfortunately I had used my own clubcard for 1st shop (handed over Tesco credit card without thinking - DOH!) and then my brother's clubcard for 2nd shop as he is happy to have a few couponed shops on his account plus I owe him some points, so not sure whether they will investigate mine, his or both!!

TBH I have only really been using the QK vouchers as I can't get the others round here, so prob only 2 H&B/HC shops on there before this one when my brother gave me some peach H&B coupons, plus 2 bottles free Plax every time I have visited the store for other shopping. My brother has quite a few tho as he started this b4 I did and has had quite a healthy supply of coupons. Anyone have any ideas what might happen now??? I'm sure I haven't had nearly as much stuff as most of you on here, I just always seem to be unlucky with this sort of thing!!!!!!!!! Am probably going to quit this game I just can't seem to do it right!!! My intention was to get back the £15 they refused to refund me on a faulty electric pump as I didn't have the receipt, and I guess I've got that back now. Thanks especially to Leadhead and Rose28454 who sent me some coupons to try out, shame I couldn't quite live up to your standards!!!

unfortunately missed out on using my last dozen or so h+b vouchers as have been in hospital last 15 days. had been feeling ready to get out for 4 or 5 days but when do they decide to let me go, the day after they expire ARRHHHHHHHHHH. waiting ready on me crutches if necessary to race up the road to tesco as soon as the new ones come out. just dont knock me down in the rush lol.

Hope you're feeling better now. At least you can pamper yourself with some previously purchased H&B while you recover!!

Hearing about folk being treated this way really annoys me. If they are so bothered about the coupon usage why don't they sort their tills out and they wouldn't have to upset us,and their staff who half the time don't know what they are allowed to accept and end up being embarrassed by jobsworths. It totally stresses us out trying to gauge the correct SA to use
and makes us feel like criminals . These security guards should be properly watching out for the proper shoplifters and not harrassing us for using coupons they printed and handed out in the first place.

Aspal, I think you were asking for trouble putting so many thru on one transaction.

At least you managed to screw them for a couple of good shops! :)

I think it's very bad that a security guard should have a go at you - AIUI, as far as the law's concerned your earlier shop was a completed legal sale.

As for your clubcard, again I think you're asking for trouble using it on such a big shop. Have you got many points on there in case they get nasty?

Biggest damage is surely the increase in your profile in that store, especially if it's your local. Best keep your head down for a while and use another one if possible.

TBH you shouldn't really start so big, I only do small shops never more than £10 H&B so only giving over 1 set of coupons, and I only give my CC once maybe twice a week. And as someone above said, defo keep a low profile and shop in another tesco for a while. Don't give up, just don't aim so high.
