  • hi aspal, i think without even being flagged by an sa or security guard, you should be on your gaurd i overdid it at my local tesco two weeks ago, did 6 £30 shops in a few days, this really raised my profile in this store and was actually being followed by the security gaurd!

today was the first day back to my local, literally left my son in the car with my best friend, picked up £15 of stuff after bogoff and headed for a till, coupons accepted no probs and got my confidence back. had to pay £4.70 as i only used 3 coupons to keep a low profile.

im sorry you had such a bad experience, but i too agree with doing smaller shops a few times a week, but spread them out between 2 or 3 mr t's.
my boots and tesco addictions are costing me a fortune
    :j
am tackling my debt cant bury head in sand any longer:confused:
    april 08 : £1600
    may 08 : £1243

the Dove regenerating night hand cream that was £1.00 each bogof......then last week went back up to £1.89 bogof...........is now £1.00 each bogof again!!!

shelf edge label last night stated £1.00 bogof...

Didnt work for me tonight(asked to scan 2 before i tried)...came up £1.89 bogof
  • I managed to stay away from Tesco for a whole day yesterday, but needed to pop in tonight to get some milk (still with Cranberry coupon ;) ) and some other bits. And as I still had some Colgate QK coupons, was going to add 4x toothpastes as well. I usually get the 29p Tesco variety as this store does not do the 21p version. But tonight I noticed they had an additional variety on the bottom shelf; it was a Tesco Kids stripe toothpaste for only 12p!! It had a discontinued label on the shelf and I definately have not seen it before in my store. Anyway, got 4 of them and the Colgate 40p scanned like a dream x4 :D .

Talc had been restocked as well, so it seemed rude not to take 4 of those too. Plus 2 free packs of cranberries. I do like Tescos ;) .

    Welcome back:beer:
Good news about the hand cream.

Managed to use some few coupons on Sunday - but really missed this forum as tried to come on on Sat/Sun to get good combo's - so did not do so well without the advice on here! Lack of energy and brain power due to ME means I have to keep my shopping short and sweet, I start off ok and then loose the plot if I do not have a list.

HELP PLEASE - I have some quits and SB left - can anyone give me some good combo's for tomorrow.

    Many thanks.:D

Any of the previous combos will work with the Sb and Quits.......

Ive been doing 8 Dove Pro Age creams and a 29p toothpaste to make £40 (before bogof) then using 4 SB's and 8 Quits...but you could just do 4 Pro age and a toothpaste and use 2SBs and 4 quits......or even 2 Pro age and a toothpaste, using 1 SB and 2 quits.

You can buy anything bogof, to the after bogof value of the coupons you wish to use.

You have the correct coupons to get free HB.

and just noticed my 500th post.

OOh last day for using up Quit coupons - they feel like old friends they've been hanging around in my bag for so long !
  • Further to my post yesterday, went to slightly bigger Tesco today (to sign up for Pharmacy, but that's another story :o ) and they had the 12p toothpaste as well! The 40p Colgate Quit Kit coupon scan against this, so 28p profit every time :D . It is the Tesco Kids Total Care toothpaste in a white/silver box, usually on the bottom shelf with the other Tesco's own toothpastes, discontinued and only 12p. I got myself another 4 today, my last lot  .

Roll on the next lot of HB coupons.......

  • I've noted that people say the next H&B's will be out in the next couple of weeks, but what about the SB's and QUIT, will they also be out again soon??

    Got fleeced by tesco today.
    I had 2 H&B £2.50 off toiletries vouchers and bought -
    2 x dove hand cream @ £1.89 BOGOF
    2 x Adidas Deodorant @ £2.28 BOGOF
    1 x Exfoliator glove @ 50p
    2 x Johnsons baby moisturising cream @ 98p

    Total = £10.80

When I got to the self scan, it said 'MINIMUM SPEND NOT MET' or something like that.
After I'd finished I took the coupon to CS, and she said it was because Johnsons baby moistursing cream is not considered a toiletry!!!
Has this happened to anyone else?
would this happen with any Johnsons baby item?
    I Hate Jobsworths!!!
