that is in case you are suicidal, and IT IS RATHER DAFT COS ANYONE WITH HALF A BRAIN KNOWS IF YOU WANT TO COMMIT HARRY KARRY YOU DONT TRY IT WITH PARACETAMOL, OR IT) WILL GIVE YOU SO MUCH PAIN YOU ASK FOR HELP LONG BEFORE YOU DIE, AND INSTEAD END UP ALIVE WITH KNACKERED KIDNEYS ((oops sorry didn't realise caps on)

You can buy ibuprofen at 33p, maybe you caN BUY 2 OF THEM AND 2 PARA IF NECESSARY? aS NEUROFEN ARE ABOUT £2, THE OWN LABEL INUPROFEN ARE A GOOD BUY, HAVE A GOOD DATE, AND THEY ARE THE only THING (arghhh not again!! sorry) that goes near to helping a migraine or toothache.
tesco tills are set up so that you can only buy 2 packs of any combination of painkillers in one transaction, and this includes anything with a pain killer in including cold remedies, calpol, aspirin, ibuprofen and paracetamol. so you could buy 1 para and 1 ibuprofen but not 2 of each iyswim.
ps it would kill your liver before your kidneys!

  • Solution it will only take each different coupon for number of items bought so need 4 items for 4 of the same coupon to be accepted like the 50 pointers.

Hope this is helpful as don't think I have seen this posted before.

Thanks for this, Ive been racking my brains all day as to why the till only accepted 1 of my £1.25 quits when I'd spent £14, I'll sleep tonight now!
  • I had quite a long conversation with the BC in store today, who told me that they were really tightening up the products that could be bought with the coupons. Apparently last year (before my couponing days began) the coupons would scan on the christmas gift sets, but this year they dont. Also she said that they dont work with perfume or aftershave any more, even though they were doing not long ago. Has anyone tried to get perfume in the last couple of days? It would be interesting to know if she was right.
  • have'nt tried perfume or aftershave but tried the gillette gift boxes today and none of the coupons would work

Did a variation of this today bought 2 seven seas jointcare advanced £8.31
bogof so thought no need to buy the paracetomol. Tried to use 2 x £2 quit and 4x £1 peach H&B leaving 31p to pay.
Didn't work only took 2x£2 quits and 2x1 H&B despite the cashier trying 3 times.
Good news worked out why and got success with same guy 10 minutes later.

I'll just about learn all the tricks and then it will be all over.

If you need to buy a few extra little things to use more coupons and can only buy two pack of asprin or other painkillers, other healthcare stuff thats cheap include some little slimfast bars that are 32p each or some value plasters/bandages.

Hello all, not been couponing for a while but went today and am a little confused:

2 x Nivea shower gel (toiletries) 1.79 BOGOF
    Aquafresh 65p (toiletries)
    2 x dove handcream (beauty ) 1.89 BOGOF
    2 x cotton wool (beauty) £1.29 each

    Till excepted
    £1.25 quit x2
    £2.50 SB
    £2.50 HB
    40p toothpaste
But refused £1 toiletries (x2) from HB - I thought I'd covered the spend and mixed them in with other coupons - not disappointed too much just confused.

    Got some other great bargins
    knex sets (party present) 74p
    Spiderman puzzles 70pish
    lolly moulds 12p

They had loads of toys/BtoSchool they were putting out reduced

I have mentioned before that i collect items from within a range to make up free gift sets using H&B coupons. For example, one month i got lots of dove body washes, dove shampoo & dove conditioners on bogof. The following month it was dove body lotions and bubble baths. This month its dove hand creams and moisturising cream. These bags are full now- each has 9 different products in!!

If anyone is interested in a similar idea- (great for teachers/care home staff etc) this month is a great month to start...........

I have been buying the following £20 H&B combination- all on bogof at the moment

2x sanex bubble bath £2.48 each
2x sanex body wash £2.48 each
2x sanex roll on £1.18 each
2x sanex body spray £1.75 each
    2x sanex handwash £1.89 each

This all comes to £19.56 before bogof. I have been choosing all the items in the peach packaging so have been getting 2 peach body puffs at 57p each to take me over the £20 for the coupons to scan. This gives me 2 nice little gift sets straight away. Plus these are all classed as toiletries so good for the coupon combinations.

If you have a large store you may also be able to make up some mens sanex gift bags. I have seen lots of specific mens products included in the bogof on the website but my store doesn't stock them :(

    xx
