    Hi there,

I hope this isn't too cheeky, but here on the Isle of Wight we don't get any vouchers from Mr T's  I wondered if anyone had a couple of So Beautiful vouchers going spare, could they please throw them my way?? :shhh:

A very kind MSE sent a couple of the HB vouchers and these would work SO nicely with the SB ones :D

I know, it's my own fault for living here isn't it ;)

Yes it is paracetamol, and yes most other paracetamols contain aspartame. I have found medinol to be the only one that doesnt. There is one for under six and one for over six. That said I think you can give the tablet form from about 8, I must check, now my son is nine.

My doc gives me a prescription for paracetamol and I just ask my chemist for medinol as i refuse to give my child dangerous chemicals. Only thing is, there are parabens in medinaol, but I feel it is still thwe better option.

Why oh why we put all these chemicals into stuff that is meant to make our kids better i really do not know.

As an adage, aspartame is in almost ALL kids drinks. Check the labels. The only coke that doesnt contain it is brand named cocacola and pepsi cola ( not the diet vatieties, they DO contain it)
Most cordial drinks contain it, last i saw only robinsons high juice and blue parrot didnt. capri sun sachets are ok, as are most five alives.
All sugar free drinks contain it obviously. All stores own brand fizzy drinks contain it. 7 up does not, but 7 up diet does obviously. Just check labels on any drinks you buy for aspartame asefulcame k. if it contains either, avoid it like the plague! HTH DD

Sorry I know this is off H&B topic a bit, but I bought the normal Calpol the other day, not the sugar free version, as I thought it would be safer and not contain sorbitol, but looking at what the list of E numbers represent, it is there disguised as E420 and listed after sucrose. How am I supposed to know what each E number means!!!!! I am not a happy bunny:mad:

I didnt use my clubcard today, why do you use a paper unregistered card? Sorry don't understand, what is the benefit in doing this compared to not using one at all? do you put your real address and name on it?
thanks liverbird but I wanted to do the whole basket in pro age dove as its for my wrinklies!

  • Anyway, back on topic. I've been buying the following healthcare after I discovered how tasty the something xtra bars are - hope there's not too much caffeine in them!

    6 x something xtra
    2 x centrum 30s
    1x 15p paracetomol
    Pre BOGOF £16.03
    After BOGOF £8.09
    Only 9p to pay

Bought this combo with some nappies and used £6.50 DM voucher (had to be manually input) as well and only paid 56p for the lot :D

I have had a cashier say to me that the Tesco coupons won't go through without a clubcard.......blatant lie! So I just use an unregistered paper card to shut them up! I'm sure lots of people on here do it too. Leaves no paper trail back to you!
  • can anybody please tell me what Kleenex tissues are, heakth/beauty or neither.... many thanks

what do you do with the paper one? do you have to ring cs and add them on to your regular account?
  • I've been buying Tesco's own Omega 3 Fish Oil capsules, currently on BOGOF for £3.98. Add a 13p pack of Paracetamol, use 2x £1 HC & £2 HC and get your goodies for 11p :D .

I haven't done anything with it yet. Not really bothered about it....I much prefer getting the free h + b than points.

I have never managed to use coupons against tissues - I think they are something like household
