Quick survey before i amend the list:

I bought Charles Worthington shampoo this weekend (no LH...i have not defected from my beloved Elvive.....Mr Patty uses the CW ;) )...noticed that the £1 toiletry didn't scan.

Am thinking that anything now in the Professional Haircare bracket has been re-classified as BEAUTY rather than TOILETRY. (Also remember the Nicky Clarke vaguely & am sure that was the same)

If anyone else has had the same with the Adee Phelan , or can be specific re: Nicky Clarke...let me know & i will amend the list .

PS. *is also an Aspartame-hating Parent*:o

The £1 H&B definitely doesn't work on Nickey Clarke as its classed as beauty. It does work against Tresemme though.

  • Having done a few H&B and HC shops before, I was somewhat surprised at today's results and am wondering if individual stores are adjusting their systems to accept less coupons.

Today I bought 2x Omega 3 Fish Oils @ £3.98 BOGOF plus 1 pack of Aspirin at 13p. Only the £2 off £8 HC coupon was accepted, both £1 HC ones got given back to me. Now yesterday, on identical purchase, all 4 coupons were taken!

    Also bought:
    2x Macleans @ £2.59 BOGOF
    2x Nivea shower gel @ £1.79 BOGOF
    2x Radox handwash @ £1.66 BOGOF
    Tesco toothpaste 29p

    £2.50 H&B accepted
    £1.25 QK 1 accepted, 2nd declined

£1 H&B both declined (but she kept one  )
    40p Colgate smiles declined

SA tried several times to scan coupons including with the handheld scanner, but they didn't work. They were mixed up, so I know it wasn't the sequence either. A DM coupon was accepted though, so overal discount was great, but am a bit puzzled as to what's happened. Will try similar purchase tomorrow at different store and see what gets accepted there.

Are cotton wool pads classed as H&B or toiletry. Bit confused as to what i can use vouchers on???
I'm fairly certain these are classed as beauty, as one of my £1 toiletry coupons wouldn't work on them (>£10 spend, but <£8 spend before the cotton wool pads).
  • I went to 1 of my regular T's today & things went horribly wrong cos tills seem 2 be set 2 take the BOGOF's off BEFORE total now,has anybody else had this happen?

Looks like all good things may have come to an end then!
Just as I was getting in the swing of it as well!
I have noticed that Tesco seem to be just making things half price now instead of bogof! if it is true that they read this thread then they know exactly what we are up to and will definetely try and put a stop to it.

With regards to Mr T having things on half price, rather than BOGOF, do you guys think that they would prefer to sell less (i.e. chance selling one at half price, as opposed to 2 for the price of 1) in order to stop us? Do you think we make that much of a difference to their profits?

    I don't think so, but....

(I don't want to give them ideas, but surely it would be easier for them just to sort out their couponing policy?)

not sure where to put this, sorry if it is a nuisance.

my local has a one of each non identical coupon policy, i have problem to use up some non store specific ones, hope to swap for any non store specific coupons that are different from mine.

i have piles of 20p off any kerrygold product, non store specific, valid until 31 oct 2007.

will match the value plus more for any nss coupons.

just want some variety, don't mind the value.

go to pts of course, vellum's swap.

got 10 dove handcream £1 each bogof, store only accepted one of each coupons and rejected the rest. ah well, still kind of free.
