It's all coming together now HH, so pleased for you.
How's the house viewing going monna? When I was selling the last house everything was spick and span for the viewers, when they left I put the washing on the airers then they turned up an hour later with another family member for another look!

I've just realised that we have a local council election on Thursday and I haven't received any paperwork. I usually get a postal vote which probably should have been in by now. I'll try to phone them tomorrow to see what the problem is, just as well I'm not very political.

Hope the RV feels better soon mar and the weather cheers up for you. It has been glorious here for the past few days but a really chilly wind.

Went for my eye test today and the optician is referring me to the hospital for cataract surgery :j so I didn't order new glasses today as they will be much cheaper after surgery when my prescription will be much lower.
I am having my reading glasses reglazed though, as that will help a lot in the meantime :)

Ivyleaf, I have been referred for catarract surgery as well.

I know it sounds silly but I am almost looking forward to it,because it will be lovely to see with both eyes. My right eye has become worse quite quickly and it is like having cling film over my eye.

I have one on my left eye, but it isn't nearly advanced as my right.

    Good luck with yours

Thank you, and the same to you :) The wait for the hospital appointment here is about 6 months, apparently. Mine is much worse in the right eye too. "Looking through cling film" is a very good description!

I was told my first appointment at the hospital should be through in 6 to 8 weeks, but there is no telling how long I will have to wait for the op,

I have cataracts too but not severe enough yet for surgery, I also wear two hearing aids, I'm beginning to wonder which bit of me will fail next.
We are adjusting to living in a smaller space, though I have got rid of the rolling pin to remove the temptation of braining Captain Hot Stuff.
Yesterday I tripped the electrics on the boat when I put the washing machine on, not sure why they tripped but CHS was not best pleased to be woken at 5:30am with this news.
Monna I hope the house sale happens soon.

((hugs)) Hester, getting older sucks sometimes! I hope you were able to do your washing in the end.

All this talk of cataracts alarms me. I know I have one in my right eye, there is a cloudy rim around the vision, and I know I must go for an eye test. I think that my last one was in 1957. But procrastinator that I am I have put it off and put it off.

Whoops Hester. Fancy putting the WM on. You reckless, impetuous person. No wonder that CHS was annoyed. You know that he would have been ecstatic to have to go through the dirty washing basket to find the least dirty shirt to wear again. Anything rather than to have to untrip the electrics.
The house has now been on the market for 24 hours and the queue to look round it stretches from here to Ryde.
Well, we are on line and up and running so anytime soon I will be rushing round the house throwing things into drawers and cupboards and trying to con viewers into thinking that this is what it always looks like.
I hate this bit. Anyway, I've not seen anything that grabs my fancy to buy. Very depressing, but I am sure that when the time comes the right house will be there.

Now I must go and wash the dogs nose prints off the patio windows again.

I got my eyes tested a few months ago and I have cataracts developing in both eyes but not bad enough for an operation.

Between my stiff and painful knees and recovering from blood clots in my lungs so scared to get out of breath I am a right bonny sight.

Dds helpfully pointed out that I am getting really slow when walking around and that there are people fatter than me who walk faster!!!
Gosh ,Thanks for that was the response. :o They are now agitating for me to go the the doctor again as they don't accept old and fat as a reason!

    Monna

    Good luck with the viewings.
