No hot news here either - its a bit breezy so must remind DH not to use his inherited garden sprayer on the allotment weeds! I have to admit that although I very much appreciate his efforts, the plot has previously always been my place to escape to...not so easy now he is spending more time there! ;):o

I have a few things to do this morning, so will let him go & do his stuff and then swap over after lunch. Then I can get on in my own haphazard way without being reminded that I haven't finished doing that, so why am I starting doing this?!

Good luck keeping it tidy for viewings, monnagran. I remember when we viewed this house the owner said, opening a door with a flourish, "And this is the airing cupboard, complete with the ironing which I shoved in here in a hurry when I heard you were coming!" :D

I was thinking of you earlier and wondered how the RV was? You said he wasn't feeling well recently. I hope he's feeling better x

We went to a craft show yesterday, one that we go to most years, but it was smaller than usual and several of our favourite exhibitors weren't there :( Sign of the times?
We usually buy lunch there these days (used to take a picnic but now find it stupidly tiring carrying it around until we want to eat it), and the sandwiches had nice fillings but were all in granary bread, which I can't eat. I had a piece of posh quiche instead.
Their cakes are lovely, but I was too full for cake after quiche and salad. Just as well, probably :D

Thanks for thinking of him Ivy - he's not so good these days. His thyroid meds have been increased so I hope that will help. He's a bit grey and tired and cold. Too blowy and cool to go anywhere today anyhow. so yet another day sat in the livingroom looking at each other :D

Really just dropped in to see if there were any other insomniacs or friends from other time zones around.
    Apparently not.

The house is looking unnaturally tidy atm. The photographer came yesterday to take photos for the brochure. We are trying 'P*rpl* Br*cks'. Only because I visited a friend last week and noticed that the house opposite hers had a 'SOLD' notice up. When I mentioned to my friend that I hadn't realised that it was up for sale she said that it had only gone up for sale the day before and the sellers were completely knocked back to have sold on the first day.
Not expecting my house to go that quickly but the service has been very good so far and the financial savings should be considerable.

Anyway, pushing things into drawers and cupboards for photos is one thing, keeping the house tidy enough for prospective buyers to look round is something else!

And that is all the hot news from the IOW at 3.43 am on a Sunday morning.

    x

Good luck with the house sale Monna.

I was actually up at 3.30am but resisted putting my laptop on as it would have doomed any chance of going back to sleep.

Haven't been reading or posting in this thread much recently :o but I do hope everyone is well :) x

Mar I am so orry that the RV isn`t too good and that the weather is grim. Life eh! Hard going at times

I am glad to see that the thread is still doing well and that you are a comfort to each other. I confine myself to just two or sometimes three threads lately, I don`t want square eyes. I still think about you

Sorry to hear about the RV Mar.
We've moved to a different mooring, it's a bit quieter as we were right by the carpark but it does mean my mobile doesn't work, never mind I can go for a walk along the jetty and it will probably work then.
Back to work for me tomorrow but Captain Hot Stuff will remain on the boat to work on it. I'll return to the boat each evening after work.
We had a meeting with our prospective tenants yesterday, it's looking like the end of May is when they want to start the tenancy so I listed loads of furniture for sale yesterday.
    Chin up, Titus out.
