  • He's just bein' friendly and he popped in with Anti Nargle to say hello, I think he thought it might be a circus starting up and fancied his chances as a thespian!!!

Makes a nice change from flying pigs!
A small group of us were thinking of sailing over to Ryde today and coming back tomorrow but we've all decided against it as although the weather is dry the wind is very cold WNW and me and another lady don't do cold! No lovely fire on my boat Hester - just a little fan heater when we moor to take the chill off but Ryde has no hook up. Bit of a shame as I was going to disturb Monna and help her restrain the elephant & maybe subdue him with hot cross buns.
Instead I will spend the day clearing out the greenhouse and shortening DGD's trousers. I've also got to type up some minutes for a meeting so the day will be well spent!

    Sorted!

The preppers won't be trying that again in a hurry.

Are they casting nastursiums on our elephant's sexual orientation?

    Oh. Sorry. I misread 'thespian.'

ETA. Don't blame you Silvasava. It's a bit chilly atm over here.

You lot are definitely a tonic in the morning :D

I'm practising (very quietly) a psalm I rashly volunteered to sing at the Easter Vigil service tonight. The first verse is awkward because it has five lines rather than four, so it's taken a while to get the hang of the right place to change from one note to another IYSWIM. I keep deciding I've got it fixed in my head, then panic that I'll forget it and sing it all wrong, and I run to get the music out of my bag yet again.

I'm sure it'll be All Right On The Night really.

DD1 has asked me to see if I can get her some comfortable bras as her chest is so sore atm (possible cracked rib from coughing) that she can't wear her underwired bras. I hope I can find her some that won't be too uncomfortable. Maybe a sports bra a size looser than her usual size....she feels too uncomfortable with no bra at all.

Ivy - I bought some in Matalan when I had a boob op. They were a lot cheaper than sports bras and were Soooo comfortable I could even sleep in them. She's probably torn an intercostal muscle - its B painful and would feel like a cracked rib too.

Thank you silvasava - I tried Asda as a not-very-hopeful first port of call, and found just the thing! And only £6 each. DD1 is delighted with them as they help support the painful area too :)

They look so comfy I might even get a couple for myself.

Ivyleaf all will be fine . Try to not keep checking and you'll feel ok My youngest daughter is virtually unable to fasten even front fastening bras . I was going to mention Asda as someone pointed her in that direction but you've already found them .
Good luck with the man from memphis Burtha . i spent a while working in a sports and social club and dreaded the resident DJs function playlist . Always the same , last one always New York , New York . Mind you I can do a mean Time Walk :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Mar Just how useful will you be in a SHTF situation ? A cake , bins whatever you'll be bought off - are you a quisling ? ( word I always wanted to use but never could until this moment ! )

Hope all the sailors are well whether on sea , shore or canals .
I'm loving following your journey Hester and hope you are enjoying the new broom and dustpan , a lot ahem safer than being on all fours if a tad more boring :D
