Monna I was around but just reading on my phone in bed rather hoping I'd go back to sleep...

...wasn't happening :( so I've got up and made a cup of tea.

I was still asleep until just after 5 Monna, worn out from a visit to minor injuries unit, trying to drag a wheelchair across the car park containing my beloved, and then numerous trips up and down stairs to tend to his every want!
He has sprained ligaments in his foot and is on 24 hours complete rest.
For someone who claims to be unable to sleep because of the pain he is certainly snoring a lot!
Meanwhile I have the 6 inches of bed not full of pillows propping up my beloved.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Ivyleaf - Iykeya also do sewing machines. I don't know how heavy they are but they're certainly a nice machine.
Monna I surfaced at about 5.30 - beautiful sunrise but went back to sleep! Poor little pickle do hope she's better soon.

Thank you silva :) My eyes aren't working well this morning (hay fever already) and I thought you said "Tykeys" and at first assumed it must be a chain of shops local to you :rotfl:

I was enchanted to find while browsing idly a while ago that Liberty sell a Liberty Print sewing machine! Not made of cotton lawn, mind you :( Very pretty though.

monnagran Poor little Pickle, I hope she's feeling better today x

Hester I don't know who to feel more sorry for, you or him. Probably you actually.

Poor little Pickle I am sure she is a lot better by now.

Well we got round to discussing the bathroom. I can't afford Easipanel they are far too expensive and then they will need primer undercoat and two top coats so three tins of paint too and we will still need wallpaper for the top half. DS pointed out they are not the best walls for a for a newbie to learn on so I will get someone to do the papering on the messy wall in the living room at the same time.

I have decided to use the paper I got for 50p a roll on the so called hall then DS can practice with that. It won't show if he does not quite get it straight and there is more than we need so we can afford to waste it.

Hester I have seen duvet sets with his and hers on them. Hers is 3/4 of the bed sounds like you need the other way round. Tell him propping himself up on pillows will only lead to bed sores.

Evening all. I sound like Jack Warner. Who remembers Dixon of Dock Green?

Poor Pickle she has been very quiet today. So unlike her that DS2 took her to the doctor. She diagnosed gastroEnteritis and told DS to buy some stuff from the chemist, which he obediently did and which pickle refuses to drink. Anyway, I gave her a warm bath and put a hot water bottle in her bed and she climbed in and went straight to sleep.
The doc said she would be fine to go up to Gramps tomorrow as apart from the ferry crossing she will be in the car all the time and can sleep as much as she likes.

Apart from ministering to the afflicted I've done nothing much else today.

    x

Poor Pickle :( Those rehydration salts do taste unpleasant. It would be worth seeing if she'll drink Lucozade, it was the only thing I was ever able to keep down when I had an upset tummy.

Flat coca cola with a tiny pinch of salt and diluted with water also works. Full fat obviously for the sugar
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!
