Oh monnagran, good luck darling!
Softstuff Oh, greyhounds are soooo lovely :happyhear One of my friends has four! What about when you're out at work all day though?
burtha So sorry to hear about your accident xx
mardatha I hope hospital goes well!
nursemaggie I do love those hats
Woke up expecting it to be foggy, but it isn't, not just around here. We did hear some blaring of horns fairly close by though - presumably someone suddenly realised the road was icier than they'd thought  but thankfully no noise of a crash.0 -
Hosp went fine ty - the heifer was lovely and is letting me stay on my current dose, only fly in ointment is my BP climbing through the roof. This morning 185/91
But I think being a dying duck on a sofa for over a year maybe isn't helping0 -
Mine has been much higher than that. Those hospital machines make your BP go up. I have had very high ones only to find when I go see the nurse at my doctor's practice next day it is below what is to be expected for my age.
My last one at Dr's surgery was 130/70.0 -
Had mine done as a pre op check a few years ago and the poor nurse said I should be dead it was so high!
Really bad case of white coat.0 -
Glad you are beginning to feel better mar!
Sometimes BP seems high just because they need to use a larger cuff.
When I was being admitted to hospital the other week, the nurse said "Ooh, your BP's a bit high!"
"Nerves." I said firmly.
I was obviously right because a few hours after the operation a different nurse was saying "Ooh, your BP's a bit low!"
I'm on tablets and it's normally very well controlledThe next morning it was 120/80. *Preens self and polishes fingernails*

Mar! that is fairly normal for me and I'm on tablets for it. My BP has always been on the high side since I was at school so I've come to the conclusion that it's Just me.
Glad the heifer was nice. Do you think she reads this forum and the mere thought of a fierce army of armoured and armed females escorting you to appointments made her think seriously about her approach to patients.
If we have that much influence perhaps we should hire ourselves out.
Who fancies a march on parliament?

If someone can source me a wheelchair for the day I'm up for it :rotfl:Must use my stash up!0 -

We're not thinking about immediately, but hubby works 3/5 days at home and I'm only supposed to be working 3 days. Plus my MIL would be a very willing dog sitter and in case of emergency my opposite neighbour is a huge dog lover and though she has 2 small dogs, she also has 2 separate fenced yards. If they could manage stairs, hubby could even take a sleepy greyhound to work. This particular greyhound apparently has no separation anxiety issues either
Anyhoo, we'll see.
I'll march on parliament... if by "march" you mean mount a revoltSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Softstuff. Sure I mean mounting a revolt. I bet we can be as revolting as anyone.
Knit Witch, no problem, I'm certain we can lay our hands on a wheelchair. Failing that we have a pretty capacious wheel barrow that I'll bribe DS2 to lend us.
All we need now is a suitable revolution subject.
Don't ask Mar, she'll want to outlaw the green stuff.
Any ideas?
