I use the steam cleaner for hard floors. For carpets you need a carpet cleaner/washer that pushes water in and sucks it out again.

I find using a bundt tin for cakes works very well in the Halogen oven pooky. Mine have lids so I can cover the cakes if they start getting a bit brown before they are ready or I put the lid on until almost done then remove it. I tried a normal tin but the middle always seemed soggy.

    Goodness, where is everyone?

Thinking of you, your friend and her family camelot xx

Floss Glad you got some sunshine along with the rugby :)

Sunny here too today, I'd love to start tidying up the garden but am not allowed to do things like that for a few more weeks. I'll be looking out for the bulbs coming up though.

OH bought me a bunch of Daffodils the other day, only £1 and they've all opened beautifully :) Lovely to see signs of Spring! And the days are lengthening.

Morning All - I was wondering where everyone had got to Ivy. Maybe because we've had dry weather people are busy doing things!
Your daffodils sound lovely - so cheerful.
Went for a walk with DS1 on Wednesday and stopped to watch two squirrels chasing each other up and down the trees - spring is on its way.
I downloaded some destructions for my Steam cleaner - can use it on carpets and upholstery so I'm going to try it on my doormat first to see if it's up to the job. Tidied and sorted part of DH's wardrobe so a couple of bags for the CS and a hooded sweatshirt that I'll take the hood off for him as he doesn't like it and it would make it wearable for him. Got a few bits of mending to do as well.
Have a good day all x
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Hi Silvasava, I steam clean all my rugs fairly regularly as I have pets. It does a good job. Also I do all the plugholes with it as sometimes the shower drains slow.

Can anybody advise me on Halogen cookers please? Have you got one? Do you like it ? Is it better than the big oven? Does it use a lot of elect?? Do they cook everything an oven does?

Got one and love love love it. Doesn't use loads of leccy as you don't have to pre heat. Everything comes out moist and in about 20% quicker than an oven. Hardly use my main oven now. HTH xx
