We just had friends for a couple of days of eating, drinking, relaxing, laughing and boardgames. Love those people. I'm reminded of how festive times should be. And I'm 5kg heavier than 2 days ago :rotfl:

It looks as if we had a slight frost overnight. Lovely and sunny atm but I bet it's chilly.

OMG, I am SO glad we are gong home...30 miles in 2.5 hours, and we haven't got off the M25 yet

Oh Floss, you have my sympathy - that's what it was like when we travelled North in October. And that wasn't even the M25 :eek:

I realised yesterday that despite having given away 70% of my kitchenware when I started to declutter I can still cook a full Christmas lunch with the pans I kept.
One thing I may need to buy is an extra dinner plate, I have 5, 6 would be better even though it was just to 2 of us.
DS & his GF are here for lunch tomorrow, cold meat, smoked salmon, cheese, salad & baguettes is on the menu.

:rotfl: so very true. We joked together that next year the 4 of us need elasticated Christmas pants. Loose and themed. I'm hoping I can get into my work uniform today...

Eight & a half flipping hours to do a journey that the sat-nag reckoned would be four & a half. Queues to get onto M3, M25, M40. Queues to get off & into services. Queues on M6. Only nice bit was the fairy lights on the M6 roadwork gantries!

Now chilling with a bottle of pinot grigio, having made & eaten carbonara within 25 minutes of arriving home! Cat has almost forgiven us for abandoning her and is curled up on DH while he watched the recorded footie we should have been home to watch live!
