Oh Softstuff, poor man! And poor you having to do everything. Reminds me of when one of my friends had carpal tunnel operations on both wrists at the same time

    shanks77 Home-made soup sounds lovely :)

Thinking of those of you on and near the South coast.
  • Mar, I think is was you saying about a son not bothering to keep in contact?
My son's have excelled themselves this week, neither of them remembered my birthday, both my daughters did though.

  • I don't get a card from my DS that lives with me. I know he looks at as spending my money on me but I have boxes and boxes of cards I used to use for my residents when I was a warden. I have been retired 10 years, some of them I have not looked at in years. He could pick one out of all the hundreds I still have and I would not know.

I wonder though some times would he read it first as I also have a lot get well and sympathy cards.

When my other two were 2 and 4 my ex got them to pick the paper for the presents he had bought me from them. I asked what's this get well soon and Wedding.

He said, "Those were what they chose and could not get them to change their minds."

"You Nearly had a sympathy card!"
  • When my children were small and wanted to buy me a birthday present, my then husband always refused. So I would end up lending them money & driving them to the shops so they could buy me a card an chocolates.

  • Big earthquake in Japan just happened tsunami heading for same area as last time. DS just told me he was watching the Japanese News. Terrible they are not fully recovered from the last one. Tsunarmi coming in slower so will give them more time to evacuate.
