Oh Hester, that's pants. What a lovely treat for all the staff - even the ones that give you grief!

I've had quite a frustrating weekend, everything I have tried to do has been such a trial, mainly on-line banking and trying to order kitchen appliances without being ripped off, Currys have been a bit of a nightmare but all seems to be sorted now.

Hope you are all ok with the storm you've had, sounds pretty scary.

Oh Hester love, I don't know what to say. I was pleased to think you were going to retire fairly soon after all, but not at all pleased when I heard the reason :(

Hester - your body is telling you it is time to leave the workplace. You were not looking forward to working longer, now the choice has been made for you. That can be a good thing. You can start winding down and preparing for a less stressful life. Yes, money will be an issue, but you will find a way to make it work. Blessings to you and yours.

  • My baking is all done, going to put my feet up now for a while before bed, there are pics on my blog of some of the things I've made.

I know we will manage, it's just scary thinking of it.

Hester, you must have been a tyrant in a mirror mosaic factory in a previous life, sending hugs.

WCS, peppermint Bakewell sounds interesting. Not so much the banana brick, but I'm sure custard would fix it!

I'm !!!!!!ed. Hubby had an ultrasound on his wrist, microtears. The doc there and our gp say he can't even wash up. So I'm doing all cooking, housework, working, gardening and yesterday I was plasterboarding. In any case, don't recall the last time I was bored. I have an odd cold at the moment too, on a day, off a day.

    Love to all otherwise xx

    Huge hugs Hester x
Softstuff - if it's only one wrist he can do things single handed to help :)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

    Am I the first?
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY HESTER.

You are going to be the most popular person in school today.

Softstuff: Tell your OH not to be a wimp. I've seen the most beautiful paintings done by people using only their feet and mouths. Surely a bit of plasterboarding should be possible.
