The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

Roll on spring.... i hate the dark nights with a vengeance. i only really like summer but can cope with spring. i'd like autumn more if it didn't lead into winter.
Woke up to a carpet of red and gold leaves on the lawn - beautiful. We don't normally get so many at once. Regrettably then had to rake them up as our garden waste is emptied on wednesday.
I have embarrassingly and stupidly broken a toe  so cross with myself, as i walk everywhere and just daren't for a few days (hopefully days not weeks). Luckily we have an automatic car and the toe is on my left foot, so I can still drive.
Broke it getting out of the bath to fetch shampoo. Four toes went one way on the bath side and one went the other...... it's the one next to my big toe that copped it.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Ouch poor VJsmum! I've broken a toe more than once by stubbing them, but to do it on the bath must be quite unusual. Glad you can still drive at least! Hope it heals quickly.0

Hugs Vjsmum, I know that pain all too well.
Glad you survived Ivyleaf, but I'm afraid your sandwich would have made me feel more queasy!
Day 1 went well, I survived and tried my damndest, back tomorrow for day 2. Think I might be ok. After all, I have you lot behind meSoftstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Morning all,
Softstuff I'm glad it went well--you're made of sterner stuff than your name suggests
VJsmum--Ouch!
Mixed day of household work and work-work today. If I get time I might head down to the second hand market for a wander. The frittata last night ended up being a scramble as my oven safe pan wasn't large enough and it wasn't going to set on top in the other pan. It was ok, the proportions suggested were definitely off as I didn't manage to cram in nearly as much of the evil green stuff which shall not be mentioned. I'll have the leftovers for lunch today. Tuna steaks, noodles, broccoli and some of the coleslaw base with a vinegar dressing for tea tonight. I'm slowly but surely trying to catch up on laundry. Although OH takes over most of the chores when I'm ill he just doesn't understand laundry. He thinks if he does one or two loads a week and isn't out of clothes everything is fine, but of course he forgets that meanwhile we're still using towels and sheets and that will all need to be done about the time he needs fresh clothes.
In some positive news though, we have a savings grid with incremental boxes marked off for emergency fund, fees/moving costs and house deposit. It stair steps up, with the deposit being the largest but last section. We've finished the emergency fund and the fees and have filled in the first box of the deposit! We're hoping two years from this day today should have us ready to buy, or at least start looking.0 -

:DI was able to eat the sandwich because I wasn't feeling queasy! It was really nice to feel hungry.
feeling quite yucky again today though _pale_ I suppose I'll have to see a GP again tomorrow. I expect part of it is because of the vertigo, but I feel sick all the time, not just when everything's spinning round.0 -
Ouch VJsmum
I hope your GP sorts it out for you tomorrow ivyleaf.0
