Think it was Beechs coffee ones I purchased in our wee sweetie shop - they were vegan!! lovely :-)

They do vegan & gluten-free chocs as well as regular ones. My faves are lime creams :D

I don't know what rose & violet chocolates are either nor have I heard of Beechs chocolates. I don't like any sort of cream filled chocolate. I prefer the hard centres. Give me a whisper any day rather than a box of chocolates.

ivyleaf I hope you took the vertigo tablet it will still help the nausea. It's worrying about tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. Try not to worry.

oh loving the sound of those!
Oh my, just looked on Amazon, they have lots of scrummy flavours :rotfl: I usually buy Moo Free from Amazon, but it was a lovely treat for youngest to be able to have a proper looking box of chocs with the coffee ones. I love when we can all have the same thing as well, and Moo Free, though lovely, are quite expensive.

Thank you nursemaggie :) Tomorrow is just the pre-op assessment. the procedure is on Friday. I'm sure I'll be fine whatever happens, the consultant is very good :)

I did take the tablet and it helped, I ate a pain au chocolat when I felt better :D

Feeling queasy again now though. Ideally you're meant to take the anti-sickness tablet with or after food, which seems a bit counter-intuitive.

iveyleafTaking tablets with or after food is to reduce irritation of the stomach so it is important to do it but you don't need to eat much a milky drink and a couple of biscuits will do. Gingernuts can help relieve nausea too. Drink a large glass full of water with tablets. It dilutes the medication as it is absorbed and reduces any irritation to the stomach. If you have a tablet to take before food it is because it does not get absorbed with food so you still need plenty of water so it is absorbed quickly.

I will be thinking of you all week.
  • Now I'm craving chocolate!

DD1 reported she put on a yoga video for Quoye (age 2 ) and then went in another room to use the elliptical machine. When she came back Quoye had taken off all her clothes and was doing naked yoga. :D (just a thought Hester, if you ever do decide to take up yoga)
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

thank you :) Atm I'm contemplating tomorrow's bus journey (thankfully only a few miles) and hoping I won't feel too sick on the way!
