  • Floss, yes he has had his appointment and he explained the problems he was having, she asked about stress at home and he said there is no stress at and explained that I made sure our home life was calm and stressfree, hence the DGC's visit one at a time when he is home. I'm happy to deal with them en masse, but they only visit one at a time if my L&M is babysitting.
I believe our HR are the ones who've told Occ Health he has problems at home.
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • In that case - your HR has got a bloomin' cheek. Mind you - that's par for the course with what some HR departments are like and I have certainly told off the one my (former) employer had in no uncertain terms before now when they've "exceeded their remit".

You'd be fully justified in reading them the Riot Act Hester.

I think you would be quite justified in a formal complaint to both HR & Occy Health - false and inaccurate information has been shared which is affecting any actions being advised or put in place. Do you have an employee advice service that you could contact, or do you have legal advice with your home insurance?

Hester: I can't imagine how the L&M would be coping without your stress-relieving therapy. (Intermission for our imaginations to work out exactly what this may consist of.)
I'm serious. You have bent over backwards (as well as forwards and sideways and even upside down for all I know. It's a long time since I read the Karma Sutra, (have I spelt that right?)
I'll begin again because I AM trying to be serious.

What I am trying to say is that without you making your home life calm, warm and as relaxed as possible your L&M would be in a far worse state than he is. If this goes on much longer YOU will be the one suffering stress, if you are not already.
Something good MUST happen soon. It just must.

Hope you get home safely Fuddle. Enjoy your bath and your curry.

Ivyleaf: thank goodness you don't have to wait long. This time next week it will all be over.

I'm all packed and ready for the peace-keeping mission next week. We are booked on an early ferry so it's a crack of dawn start. Still, my case is standing at the door, my clothes are laid out ready to put on and I can have a relaxed and peaceful evening.
I love being organised, it doesn't happen often these days.

I'm taking my tablet with me but think it unlikely there will be WiFi in the cottage so I may not be around for the next week.

Hope all goes well for you all. I'll be thinking about you.

Safe journey fuddle, hope you have had a relaxing time and are feeling heaps better.
HH, just keep doing what you're doing at home, a loving, relaxed home works wonders.
That's an early start ivyleaf, but you seem to have got an appt quickly. Hope all goes well for you.
Safe travels monna, you sound to be very organised but did think you needed a tablet for seasickness when I first read your post!

I've been for a very long, hot shower at the end of a very busy week. I've been on my own all day in the office (apart from a young chap who turns up each day, well most days, but he is worse than a man down) and Fridays are always so busy, parents seem to keep their queries from the week till Friday afternoon!

Monna, I'm shocked that such an upright person as yourself has even heard of the Karma Sutra!
Have a nice time away, if that is possible when trying to keep two warring factions apart.

My L&M does appreciate all that I do for him and not just the sex, lol.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a lot thicker skinned than he is, but he isn't thin skinned, I just have a hide like a rhinoceros.
We have staff members at work who sometimes do not reply when spoken to, my reaction to this is either 'They must have a lot on their mind' or 'ignorant tw&t' depending on who it is.

My L&M, along with most other staff, worry what they have done wrong when they aren't spoken to.
    Me, I don't give a flying.

If Monna survives her 'holiday' maybe we should volunteer her to sort out the middle east... (and Europe... and the US...)

I think that's certainly the best attitude Hester!

Thanks for the good wishes. I've had the procedure twice before, so that helps, and DD2 or her OH are going to be able to take me to the hospital that morning :)

I had a job to keep a straight face actually - the lovely lady consultant said I needed to have this done "just so we can make sure we're not up to anything naughty". I managed not to say that "chance would be a fine thing!", because that would have sounded salacious :D

Have a good break Monna hope you don't have to intervene too much and can enjoy yourself.
Fingers crossed the procedure goes well ivyleaf
Hope your journey home was uneventful fuddle and that the curry was good
Hester words fail me how you haven't cracked up yet is a miracle. I agree with the others who say take note of everything and wish you all the luck in the world.
Hope I haven't missed anyone out xx

Heard of it... she's read it cover to cover. The problem is to start with she thought it was a yoga manual and that caused all sorts of bother when she was in the gentle yoga class :p

Have a good break Monna. And good luck again Ivyleaf.

My tablet has decided to cack itself, it seems to be the time for dead appliances. So far I lost the laptop, the microwave, the stick blender and the tablet. And my frypan is stuffed too. Roll on the job and the paycheck to start replacing things. In any case, this means borrowing a computer whenever I want to post, so if I'm not around, apologies.
