Mar, so glad the news wasn't any worse, hopefully a monitor will show that your high BP was just a blip, eat lots of jelly babies and take care of yourself.
I'm ok, my news is really just an inconvenience, nothing more.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh Hester all I have is hugs and reinforcements.
Mar Bags of sweeties! My blood pressure always goes up when I see the doctor-you have my sympathy!
Pollyanna You sound like you need a hug! Don't worry, your section of fence is always ready and waiting.
Big mugs of hot chocolate all around whilt we plot our next adventure? Of course there is tea and coffee if you prefer.x0 -
Blimy Hester. Break. Needed. You.
Mar if you didn't believe in the law of averages you do this week. Here's to the one reading, that average of all the week, that sees you on your way to getting the energy to kick this Addison malarky aside a bit eh? Oi, woman! Sit doon and behave theesel! What sweetie are you gunna 'ave?!
My MIL was in hospital yesterday. Thankfully she didn't have a heart attack but worringly has angina. So many of us in a mess although I do have news...
The chest xray is back. Everything is clear. I'm now beating the flu too so hopefully no risk of it turning sinister. The only thing left now is awful acid reflux. GP thinks all the pain kilkers could have exacerbated my already dodgy tum.
So come on peeps. Lets try to turn a corner together. To better health friends x0 -
You'd better behave and be a good girl too FUDS until you're properly well again, the OS army isn't all that far from you currently and we could just make a little diversion on the way down to Hester and make sure you're behaving!!! Think on my petal!!!0

Take care of your self Fuds, don't overdo things, I find painkiller cause havoc with my tum, so hopefully that's what it is for you too.
I have my candles lit Pollyanna, I'll send good thoughts to you and anyone else in needChin up, Titus out.0 -
Mar I hope the BP monitor will show it's usually within perfectly reasonable limits! And that you don't have to wait long for the MRI. xx
Hester I'm so sorry to hear about your eyeMay the surgery go much better this time ((HUGS))
I agree pollyanna, seems to be one bad thing after another. The latest here is that our lovely neighbours' eldest daughter, who lived abroad, has been found dead by her neighbour. She was only sixty! Her younger sister is flying over first thing in the morning, but her parents are too old and infirm to go. I'm so upset for them0 -
Right then, the bus is headed for Hestershire now, anyone need picking up on the way?
Seriously though, HH I really hope the procedure goes well this time.
Mar, now you have a firm diagnosis you can eat all the jelly babies you like, hope your meds are increased and you feel better soon.
fuddle - you need to be careful as your resistance is probably low so you could pick up all sorts of bugs, please rest and be good!
My cotton wool head cleared late this morning and decided to empty itself down my nose, I'm dripping like a tap! Ages since I had a cold but I'll have that over anything others are going through.
Such sad news ivy.0 -
Mar that's excellent news! I had the BP issue when I first got my diagnosis, but it soon settled down when I'd been home a wee while - a short walk every day really helped too - and the meds were soon increased.
Yes you definitely deserve a sweetie, you've been very brave. So relieved for you!0 -
OK Mar, the armour is back in the wardrobe and the elephant is temporarily housed in the garage but at the drop of a hat the barmy army convene to fight injustice wherever needed.
Glad you saw the Plan B consultant and glad that your news was not quite as bad as you feared. As for the BP, well, that's not too bad, its about the same as mine and I am on tablets for it. Eat as many sweeties as your heart desires. You deserve them after the stress of the past few weeks.
Aw, Hester, I just want to wrap you up in a blanket and take you somewhere safe. I beg the universe to start looking out for you, you have just had more than one person can deal with. Sorry about this but, IT'S NOT FAIR!
Fuddle, thank goodness there are no more nasties lurking in your lungs. Sorry about your MIL though, I know you are very fond of her.
I am reeling. Pickle knocked on my door before she went to bed and informed me that it is her birthday tomorrow and she really didn't have a pretty dress to wear (untrue) so would I please knit her a pink princess dress to wear in the morning. On hearing that it might take me longer than one evening to knit a princess dress she kindly reminded me that she didn't go to nursery until after breakfast so I could finish it then.
Oh, and it would be nice if I knitted some blue shoes to go with it.
I feebly protested that this was an impossibility so she left saying, "well, just do your best."
It will be so sad when she is old enough to realise that monna isn't this magical person who can perform miracles.

Pickle sounds like a budding CEO Monna!
Glad your appointment was better than expected Mar & hopefully now you can get sorted at last.
Hester & Fuddle - please be gentle with yourselves. If you don't look after you who will??
First session of Yoga this term this evening - she said it would be a gentle one - SHE LIED!!! Or maybe it's to do with the fact I've done B all during the summer break.
Someone was talking about meditation - I know Mar watches the clouds. My teacher says it just concentrating on one thing - not trying to make your mind a blank ( as Monna says - not possible) I've found that when I'm stressed counting my breathing calms me down. I breathe in for a count of 6, hold for 3, breathe out for 6, hold for 3. It takes concentration so helps still your mind. Just thought I'd post in case it might help someone.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
