Oh, for goodness sake. I can't speak for Mila but as far as I am concerned it is just me being me. It requires no effort at all..
NOW, when I tell you that I rose from my bed at 7.00am, went for a brisk 3 mile walk, returned to have a cold shower followed by a breakfast of yoghurt and berries before getting stuck into a morning's housework. ..........THEN I will gracefully accept every plaudit going, the more pats on the back the better.
I don't expect it to be any time soon.
No, Softstuff, I didn't actually stay up all night knitting. The birthday girl has just gone off to nursery wearing a sparkly dress, some mismatched leggings (her choice) and a badge the size of a dinner plate proclaiming, "I AM 4."
Who would have guessed?

Morning fencers,
I'm moving a bit slowly this morning, just having my porridge now. It took me ages to get off to sleep last night. Most morning chores are done, I still need to do a quick wipe round downstairs but I can do that at lunch time.
I've had more work delays, more scheduling changes and more deep breathing here. I'm trying to remind myself that this time of year is ALWAYS like this and it always calms down again. Today is a gym day and I've promised myself half an hour to sit and knit at some point.
Monna Perhaps this is the time for a spin on Exupery's sheep in a box--when asked to draw a sheep the pilot had it rejected several times because it wasn't what the little prince had in mind. He finally drew a box with holes in it and told the Prince his sheep was inside the box--cue perfect sheep! Do you have a pink blanket and some blue socks :rotfl:
Hester Your trail sounds just perfect.
Monna and Mila I would imagine that long lists are seen by him/her as a good thing? Lots of care and love to go around?0 -
Ok stop the goodytwoshoes bit now please, this is almost as bad as the green stuff :eek:0

I'll talk about anything as long as I don't have to drink a milkshake. I shouldn't have replied to that I feel very sick.0
-
I'll go back to talking about my floggers then.
I have a lovely black one that I'm selling with some matching thigh high boots and elbow gloves with a feather trim. and a purple one that I'm selling with a purple cami top.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Could it be said that you're 'flogging' your floggers Hester?0

I'm ashamed of myself MrsL for getting in such a state - I think it's the worst state I've ever got into. Never again.
It's got a lot colder last few days and the geese have started flying south overhead - def feeling of autumn now.
I'm looking for coffee pods to try - I notice this new coffee machine takes pods and I want to try them out. I won't use them all the time because of the cost, but wanted to see what they are like. Do you get them in all shops? It's a thing I've never ever noticed.0 -
Hester, I cannot describe the picture I have in my mind. The censors would be down on us like a ton of bricks.
How on earth have you survived on this staid and upright forum thus far?
Who buys these things? Apart from you, I mean.
I have visions of small men in grubby raincoats, wearing dark glasses and furtive expressions sidling up to your front door whilst glancing around anxiously.
Oh my! We certainly see life here.
