The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

Amazingly I didn't even have to click on the link for that knitting pattern to know what it was.
I should hope all of the fun doesn't stop at the menopause, so I'm pleased to see so many role models who assert it does not
The plan today is to spend the entire day doing my work in the garden on a clipboard with an endless cycle of refilled glass bottles of water being chilled and brought out. I might do some lavender lemonade, but only if I have to pop to Mr T for something else as the only citrus we currently have is spoken for. I have managed to concoct a sunshade out of an old curtain and binder clips which I bring out on occasions such as today. It isn't that attractive, but does the job and cost me nothing. I'll be cutting some mint shortly for an infusion. Today is a gym day and I'm toying with going this morning and just working slightly later this afternoon. I think the gym does have A/C, but it is a new facility (after much lobbying of the council) so I'm not entirely certain. I've been given some new exercises to help with some joint problems and I'm sad enough that I'm keen to try them out.
OH is responsible for tea tonight, I think it will be some concoction with tuna, pasta, broccoli, lemon and a side salad, or at least that is what he requested I put him down for on the menu. I won't interfere with his plans. I'll also make the most of the weather and empty all of the wash baskets as I see we have rain forecast for the foreseeable.
Personally I'm delighted to finally see some summer, but I know it won't be comfortable for some of you so here is a cooling beverage, a fan and an offer of a hand for any of you who have to be toiling away--including Monna in her hot kitchen. x0 -
Thanks for the RV explanation - mine is a GT - Grumpy Taurus!!!
Lovely to have you back Cornish Chick.
My what a saucy lot you all are this week - I'm blaming it on the hot weather lol TBH I'm pleased so many of us still have the lust for life - that's what nature intendedSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
CornishChick I'm sorry to hear about the health problems. I hope that they are able to determine a cause and find a treatment soon. The trial and error phase can't be easy although I'm pleased you've had some relief recently. Cutting your work hours should free you up for plenty of mischief of the OS variety.0

Hester, men have the same issue with fishing. "It was this big!" I enjoy your stories Hester, but I'm sure you could write the sex part if you wanted, chances are though your standards are too high. If whatsername can sell 50 shades, commercial standards are pretty low. I have writing one a bit of a go myself before my laptop died. If I do eventually get another laptop I might try again and beg your attention Hester.
Jazee, I can see how glasses round the neck would make some positions difficult, I mean you wouldn't want to keep boinking a chap on the nose with them, but I can't imagine why people would think they stopped sex entirely
It sounds like a lovely plan for the day Fairyprincess, especially lavender lemonade. Is that made just as it sounds?
I'm disappointed the cat is out of the bag as regards what RV stands for. Rampaging Viking seems much more picturesque.
Boultdj, there's a gift that you don't want a picture of in use :rotfl:
I pottered a bit today in the garden, so am feeling much improved. Not ready to shovel or move rocks yet though. I made a couple of trellis supports with some mesh I had, planted a few plants including a passion fruit and had a debate with a tradie over grout colour (yes, even the shade of grout is important to me, but when I get things just so, it feels so much more satisfying).Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
I'm just wondering how you found the knitting patterns?!0
