mila I hope you made it to Joe's Crab Shack, and that the appointment went ok.

Good morning everyone. Sunny here atm , but due to rain later. Mr ivyleaf is so pleased that he managed to get the grass cut at the weekend, but reckons a new mower is needed; he's starting to struggle a bit with the Flymo, and would like something lighter (maybe we need a scythe instead, preferably with Ross Poldark/Aidan Turner to come and wield it..... :D )

So sad to hear Mrs LW, Kittie & Nuatha are not posting. I wish you all well and peace. I have read most of your posts and you have been so helpful.

    Afternoon all,

Just popping in over my post-lunch coffee, one of the perks of having OH home is he always makes a coffee after lunch. When I'm on my own I don't bother. In the end I did cheese and biscuits, a nice chutney, gherkins, chopped salad and deviled eggs for our lunch. OH sectioned a grapefruit and it was very nice.

ivyleaf, if you manage to get Poldark in to scythe your grass send him over here next :D OH toyed with doing ours over the weekend but didn't. It does need doing, but as I don't fancy doing it I won't criticize his timetable ;)

It is dark and cloudy here but no rain. Just trying to think of how to cheer my desk up for the afternoon stretch as it does feel very gloomy. I thinking the radio and a candle might do the trick. Two loads of washing on the line, so hopefully we won't get a surprise rain shower!

It's been very wet here this afternoon. Poor DD2 was so fed up as she arrived home with wet feet for the third day in a row. I'm a bit surprised she hasn't been wearing her wellies to and from the station really!

At least it's sunny this morning though. Maybe I can get some washing dry outside :)

    Morning all,

A bit of late start this morning. I'll work this morning and squeeze in some more laundry. Leftover courgette lasagna for lunch, a bit more work this afternoon and then I'll go for a walk before it is time to make the tea. I think tonight will be quiche and salad. I must admit I'm not looking forward to making it. I don't have any pastry in the freezer and so it will feel a bit of a faff to do all of the steps start to finish. I'm sure I'll survive. OH has a friend and his partner who live overseas in town, so we'll probably meet them for lunch later this week.

I'm pleased to say that the sky is blue today which will make a nice change!

Ivy, I hope you do get a drying day in!

Hugs to all who need them.x

I hung a line full of DGS's washing out this morning before I left for work and it's dry now so I'll get it in before it rains.

I'm collecting hubby from work in 20 minutes and driving him to the hearing clinic, there is a fault with one of his hearing aids.

I need to buy some filler if we see a DIY shop as I want to decorate my bathrooms next week and want to fill some holes in first

I hope Monna is ok, not seen her posting for a while

Yes, I've been wondering about Monna too. Perhaps she's just very busy supporting her family while DIL's mother is so ill.

I think I saw Monna popping in on the thread about a daytime television programme about money. Hopefully she'll get a chance to pop in here. I didn't realize there was an illness in her family. I hope they are coping.

Quiche was lovely and I've made an apple strudel with the leftover pastry and a quick cake to fill up the oven. My walk was also nice, if a bit shorter than last week. I'm off to relax and do some knitting.

Hester, good luck with the bathroom. It sounds an exciting if exhausting project!
