I had a nice trip out for my birthday. The interview went. ..oddly. The interviewer didn't ask any questions and I was left just trying to tell her what I was like! An unsettling experience. Not sure what happened, but would bet money on not getting the job.

In other odd news, got 2 tins of fruit and a sparkly pink sequined handbag as a gift from an inlaw. Bearing in mind my dress sense more closely resembles Ellen than Barbara Cartland, this was an unusual gift :rotfl:

It's either a hint, Softstuff, or a symptom ... I suggest you keep a close eye on them for a bit :)

Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, and I'd suggest looking for a job with a slightly more competent employer...

Belated Happy Birthday and Anniversary Softstuff. The interview certainly sounded odd but stranger things have happened so fingers crossed.

    Morning all.

Lost a post last night and vowed I wouldn't do another one. I will but in future it will be short.

DB and SIL coming today. They are staying in Shanklin and spending the days with us. Lovely to see them for a few days. We all get on very well which seems to be a bit unusual these days.

Bright but cold today and I must get going.

ETA That must have been a bit unsettling Softstuff. Hardly what one would expect of an interview. Wonder if the job was filled before it was advertised and they were just going through the motions demanded by some law or other.

Well, I know they're interviewing someone else next week, my inkling is that the other person is more qualified on their resume and that it's already decided.

I'd just been so happy to get an interview, but hey ho. This area sucks for employment.

Thankfully the supermarket lent me comfort by way of some nice reductions. Dread to think how lackluster our diet would be if not for me regularly finding things 50-95% off at the supermarket.

Well, I found out that the person they're interviewing next week has over 25 years experience doing the job, specifically dealing with exact areas involved. Short of her having body odour so bad it would knock out the interviewer, there's no way I'm getting the job.

I'd swear a bit if the filter would let me.

Softstuff - you may not get the job you've been interviewed for but now they've met you there might be something else that comes your way. Fingers crossed for you.

Part of the purpose of going for an interview is for you to find out about the employer... Softstuff - I hope an opportunity with a more competent and appreciative employer comes your way soon.
