oh Ginny what will you have? I'd like to invite you and your mum to have dinner with us but I guess you can't leave him. If you don't have the car it won't possible. Of course you would have to sit among all of the boxes as we can't get a removal firm before 5th January.

If you can come PM me. Otherwise I hope your Christmas is the best you can make it.

I was feeling very down in the dumps today as I ran out of day before I ran out of phone calls, spent much of it on hold. Now have one of those 8 bar circular tunes going round in my head.

I have still have not managed to post all of my parcels yet was going to finish them today. Ran out of post office time. Got to be out tomorrow for carpet fitters to measure up and then go for all the decorating materials. DS is sick I found him slumped in his chair in the dark. He was just a black lump on the bed. I had been looking for him for 5 mins when I decided I better put the light on. I have put him to bed an hope he will be better tomorrow, I can't carry everything tomorrow without him.

For all the problems we think are bad, yes others have it worse. Here for anyone who needs to talk. Its gone quiet here after the last day or two(hope that's a good sign)Politically I worry for the country and what the future holds(even though others will not agree with my take on things)

The latest being the idea of restricting social housing tenancies as in a time limit of five years. Why would anyone take pride in the property if you are likely to be moved on? If becoming slightly better off income wise means they will move you on why would you want to see income increase? As if you then move into private rented accommodation and it costs more it will eat up the increased income you've come into. You have less rights too.

    But that's just how I see it(others won't)

I find where possible its best to avoid most of the news and I watch less TV TV altogether, I don't buy newspapers.

To other matters that won't cause controversy. I think I'm doing OK but when I am up late, like tonight, I think there must be an underlying reason. Though when awake I feel fine generally.

I like sleeping and I don't get many nightmares but they are a reoccurring theme when I do. And I have had some these past weeks.

I think its not knowing what the future holds and not having the security of loved ones around me. No good worrying what will be will be.

It may turn out OK then what have I worried for and if it doesn't it will happen anyhow and we'll deal with it. I never used to be a worrier and usually I don't even though it seems that I do by what I write.

I have had more dreams(not nightmares)recently with Mum, Dad and my Grandma in them than I used to. People used to say that means they are watching over you which is a nice thought.

Going to try and enjoy Christmas and though on my own whilst I can afford to(and I must get around to doing so asap)going to decorate a Christmas Tree I purchased last January. I may attempt some lights in a window too, also listen to Christmas music again.

I plan to bother with a Festive meal(and create space in the fridge freezer for some Christmas treats)I'll buy this year, next year I may not be able to afford to. Sometimes I miss out on items only available at this time of year. If I am still eating some items into next year that's OK too. And on New Year's Eve I'll prepare a little buffet and raise a glass at midnight and wish you all a happy and peaceful 2016.

I'm old fashioned I used to like the old way TV brought in the New Year now generally its pop music which you can see/hear anytime or films. And its quiet around here TBH many people are already in bed long before Big Ben chimes in the next year.

I'm even wondering if the official event in London may be called off with all that has happened in recent weeks. No doubt we'll see before too long.

I'm sure they won't cancel the London firework display. Lots of tickets are already sold :j

We shan't go - too much standing, and too long without a loo! But it's nice to watch on TV.

Going to see DGS's school play next week. He's in the choir, and has a lovely voice, so i'm looking forward to hearing them sing :j

  • Docky loved the snow, we don't get much here in Hampshire but when we did he went scatty with a vengeance, can just see in my minds eye his bristly little face white with snow as he ploughs through a pile of it pushing himself along with his back feet and his chin on the ground, wagging frantically and being a puppy again, lovely memory, thank you!

What a lovely memory Mrs LW :D

burtha I love watching snow falling. I remember my friend and I went out into the middle of the playing fields at school and just stood there looking up at it (perhaps not the best idea as we both wore glasses :D)

fuddle Have you got snow too?

What a lovely thought Lyn dogs enjoying the snow.

Well it is a good job DS is a lot better because we bought a ginormous tub of magnolia paint, about 10 litres I think, he had quite a job to pick it up. I would not have been able to shift it a millimeter. That should paint the whole flat even allowing for one navyblue wall and one deep purple wall to be covered. I rather think they will need 4 or five coats to cover them. I hope Leyland trade paint is OK.

Housing benefits all sorted now and most other administrative things done. We are exhausted before we start the painting tomorrow. You can understand why we are sticking to one colour.
  • Nursemaggie, what a pity we don't all live closer, we could form a painting party. As long as you kept us supplied with tea and CAKE we could make short work of it.

Anyway good luck tomorrow and take things steady and pace yourself
