Softstuff Yes I do use the scalp cream as well, though I don't need it all the time. I use the eczema & psoriasis balm (sold over here as "Irritable Skin Balm" for licence reasons) on my face; thankfully I don't need it anywhere else :)

I'm on my second bottle of the shampoo; with the first one, when I got about three-quarters of the way down the bottle it started leaving a sticky deposit on my hair which I couldn't get rid of except by washing it again with a different shampoo :( but I decided to give it another go as nothing else worked anyway, but now I shake the bottle well before each use, and use a smaller amount of shampoo, and that seems to have done the trick. But it is quite difficult to rinse out of long thick hair.

Maggie and elona Ooh, hope all goes well for you both tomorrow xx

:rotfl: I'll take your word for that, mine is as fine and thin as a newborns and hubbys is beating a speedy retreat sliding backwards so we keep it short so as not to look like he's combing it forward and to distinguish where his head hair stops and back hair starts :rotfl:

Had an electrician here today, have an outside light, 2 new pendant lights and 5 new ceiling fans and am feeling quite delighted (at least until the bill arrives).

Softstuff I hope you won't be quite as hot now you have the new ceiling fans. And thank you for your kindness about the hairwashing :A

The fans seem to have coincided with a cool breezy spell, which is unheard of in December and sods law , but they sure do look pretty :rotfl: And I'm happy to try and help with hair/scalp bother, it's been a battle we've been waging for 10 years now and I understand the... tiresome nature of it.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. The flat is lovely. Two good sized bedrooms. A reasonable sized living room, the kitchen is small but not as small as the one here and of course it is warm not like this ice box. Best bit for me is the the bathroom has a walk in shower because I have not been able to get out of a bath for over 20 years because of my arthritis.

We get the keys on Monday and DS says we will move in at our leisure as it is better for me to pay an extra months rent than to end up in hospital with a stroke or a heart attack because my blood pressure is sky high. We have decided to decorate it before we move in. It will be easier to do it before the carpets go down. Being only two minutes away we can go there anytime we like.

DS just went upstairs to book tickets for us to go see the new Star Wars to celebrate.
  • Nursemaggie I am so pleased for you and DS.

He is right you must take things steady. How exciting to be able to decorate and choose carpets before moving in. You should be able to have everything as you want it, and to be warm as well.

I am really pleased for you

Thanks candlelight I am really pleased. It was very quiet there I am quite excited about moving now. The only thing I don't like is, it has storage heaters not central heating. We can't have everything we want. I think we are really luck to have been given this so quickly no worries about being taken to court now. I did not want that.
  • No, and with your health problems you don't need it. Lots to look forward to now, and hopefully you will be settled for a long time.
