Thanks for the kind words. Still in shock, looking to go asap, who knows what the future holds so I'm going to err on the side of caution.
    Just terribly sad.

After a pm from a friend here I realised I hadnt reported the arrival of my new grand-daughter Bethany. She is 3 weeks old already. I was summoned to Dd's at 2.30 am on the Sunday and her contractions were 5 minutes apart, by the time she had struggled into clothes they were 2 minutes apart and I told her OH to drive fast.

As I waved them off in his 4 seater sports car I had visions of her delivering on the pavement on the way. However they got to the hospital, Oh dropped her off and parked the car - 4 minutes after they got there she was born  and daddy missed it!

Dgs woke up at 4 am wandered into Mummy and Daddys room, found me there said 'Oh' climbed in bed and went back to sleep :rotfl:

Anyway all is well, baby is the most laid back child ever and is as cute as a button. Dgs is totally unfazed by it all but we did slowly introduce the concept that me and hubby would be cuddling her - at first he told grandad to 'put it in its pram' :p

Otherwise still scrimping and scraping, yellow stickering and jam making. Waiting for the DWP's decision on hubbys PIP and if we will keep the car  Oh well what can you do but keep on keeping on.

  • Congrats Ginny, welcome to baby Bethany. May she have all the love, luck and good fortune anyone could wish for.

We've had a fantastic day here, when I came home from work I took a card bound for Australia to the post office on my bike, it seemed such a shame to waste the good weather. It was 20 degrees when I came out of work, just fabulous for the end of September.

Some of the tomatoes are beginning to ripen, don't know what I did wrong but there are a lot of green ones!

Relaxing this evening, the Hairy Bikers are on, always entertaining and the scenery in this programme is stunning.

elona Not sure if you meant to type that? I don't think you can be Ginny's Mum? It's certainly a beautiful name x
