I dont mind if Elona wants to be my Mum xx
Been jam and marmalade making this week also filling the freezers with cooked veg to make easy meals. I do wish I was one of those tidy people (like Mardatha! mrs minimal) If I could throw things away as soon as they are done with would help. Things really do come in useful though.
Of to VIP day at Hobbycraft tomorrow with demonstrations and stuff - hope there are goody bags :j I also get 20% discount then so have a short list of what I need plus Dgs's playdough and pva glue. I am looking forward to a few hours away.Clearing the junk to travel light

Went to the Hobbycraft thing - rubbish! stood waiting for 20 minutes for them to get the stuff together for the demo's and my back was killing me so bought the few bits I needed got my discount and left. Next time I will offer to do the demo myself - on time. It was just 2 staff members, I thought they would bring someone in as I know one of their other stores did.Clearing the junk to travel light

Ginny I'm so sorry the demo was such a washout when you'd been looking forward to it!
So.....the first day of charging for plastic bags in England.
I suspect some shoppers will make a terrible fuss about it
We always have our own bags with us in the car anyway, and only use plastic ones for impulse purchases.
We visited friends in Scotland in June and very quickly got used to making sure we always had a bag with us. Though we did get caught out at the H0tter shop - they were doing "3 for 2", and we didn't have a big enough bag.0 -
We keep forgetting the bags and leave them in the car. We could open a poly bag stall now from our car boot!0

Our big Sainsbury's has notices up in the car park reminding people to take their bags into the store. They put the notices up quite a while ago though, rather than just recently. Gets folk into the habit, I guess
last Christmas my DD2 gave me one of those fold-up bags that has its own little pouch and fits into a handbag, or can be clipped onto the handle. i' use it regularly. So far I've remembered to put it back in my bag after using it!0 -
It was pandemonium in our stores yesterday especially at self service tills, the poor staff couldnt keep up as no bags at the tills at all, they had to keep going away to get them
I usually forget the bags but take the trolley to the car and load the bags at the car - its just as easy0 -
Lovely to "see" you kidcat :j0
