  • Phew!!! Had a few days missing because of RL and taken ages to catch up.
The discussion about Easter Eggs reminded me of the time I had a raging row with my sister and threw all her eggs out of window. Needless to say parental intervention meant she got all mine and whatever was salvageable of the broken ones as well. Never been fond of them since.:D
Had a lovely day yesterday at my son and DILs with her parents. Dinner cooked for me, no washing up, and a delicious healthy 'cake' make from fruit and veg - no idea how - which only I liked so plateful to bring home as well. Great.:j
I will be in the middle of the fence in height. Started out at 5' 6 but with increasing age and weight am now only 5' 4.:(
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.

I'm imagining our fence to have a wavy top to accommodate our various heights ;) Lovely primrose picture MrsL - I have a pale yellow camellia in a pot (clay soil) that is just breaking open - it looks so delicate & exotic. Spring at last - pair of robins and a pair of goldfinches in the garden & the blue tits have their spring colours too. I do love everything slowly emerging after the winter.
All quiet in the Sava household at the moment so off to get tea on for DH & me - have a good evening all
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Yesterday I watched some of the recorded episodes of Wolf Hall and what a great programme it has been. I have two more to watch until its finishes.I have both of the books to read and I am saving them to take on holiday with me as sitting on the beach with a cuppa and the shenanigans of Tudor England is right up my street :)

I think they are great books Jackie - I loved them, really well written so you've a treat in store :)

Cranky I hope all goes well with your house elf and his op.

Worked a long day today and feeling very tired now. OH made HM fish cakes for tea after a few phone instructions from me. I have to say they were pretty good.

Have my pj's on now and will be heading off to bed with a Horlicks soon. Oh what an exciting life I lead.

cat I loved the story of your daughters and the daffodils it did make me laugh.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Good evening everyone, thank you for the warm welcome very much appreciated.

I think my problem is I want to do too much so not sure where to make a start, plus I love reading the forums so spend too much time reading rather than doing:rotfl:

nuatha, I do have some herbs on my windowsill and a thyme and rosemary plant on my patio. I have just planted some tomato seeds which have all come up and have a few lettuce seeds which have also come up just not sure what to do with them now.

Mrs LW love the primrose piccie, its nice to see some signs of spring appearing at last, however today started off sunny, but soon became rather overcast and chilly.

Cranky good wishes for house elf's op, hope it goes well.

Sorry can't remember all the other chat but hope everyone is well and have a good evening.

I'm going to list a couple of bits on fleabay but will be keeping up with all the chat.

Loving the spring flowers Mrs LW, there are some crocus about but no daffies yet, we are so far behind you! Great news on the bills.
Cranky I hope your house elf is ok.
I hope you are feeling better now wondercollie, how awful to see all that money go down the pan, pleased to hear you have sympathetic managment too!

Busy old day, had to cover the office for a lot of it so not much of my own job done. Met friends after work and we booked our little holiday to Copenhagen in the summer, there are 4 of us and we pick a different city to visit each year, been going for about 12 years now and always laugh from start to finish.

I have just dyed the underneath of DDs hair purple, she's in the shower rinsing it off just now. Hoping nothing else is purple!

Don't know if I said that I am getting a replacement wardrobe for the damaged one, they should be swapped over next week. The only problem is the old one needs to be wrapped up and I took all the wrapping to the tip. The lady on the phone said it could be an old sheet (most of my sheets are old and I'm using them) or bin bags, etc. I have used cling film. Not sure how else I can cover a huge wardrobe.

Anyway, going to tidy up and then watch a bit of tv.

Nuttyp, maybe you could paint the fence too? I've got about 10 miles worth of Cuprinol wood stain in Golden Oak (I think!) in my lotty shed if you want it!

Still haven't planted my seeds, RL got in the way a.k.a. work, but have them on my list of jobs-to-do-while-DH-is-away!

Tried to reply earlier but found my "reply" page was huge, just tried again and it still is :) oh well, just have to hope it works. It's gone really wide, like the pages of a thread do when someone posts a photo that's too big. Weird.

Anyhoo! Thanks Mrs LW for the pic of the primrose! I love them. I have at least one in the back garden; my neighbour gave me some more but they all kept getting dug up by cats,so I gave them up as a bad job, but it looks as if one of those has come up again, so I may have two. Hope so! I love daffodils too.

My back garden faces North, so things tend to appear later. There isn't anywhere suitable to try growing veg. Maybe we'll get around to having a raised bed near the bottom of the garden where there will be more sun on it, but it won't be this year.

Love the idea of the wavy fence :) I'm 5' 5", unless I too have shrunk - last time I was measured was at a hospital pre-op appointment, and the nurse used centimetres, so I was none the wiser!

Busy day here too - all the washing done and dried. Still haven't been able to get it outside yet. I thought I might be able to this morning but when push came to shove, it started to rain :(
Eventually transferred our broadband supplier today. We've been messed about waiting for a MAC code, but it came today - two weeks tomorrow since we first asked for it.
Wrote my lists for this week. On hols soon so I wanted to check the case and see what mini toiletries were still in there. I think they will do for 4 nights away, so won't buy any more.
Went shopping for groceries tonight with both DDs to associated dairies and managed to spend £50  I tried the teabags from L!dl last week but I'm not keen on them, so I've gone back to red ones from the big shop. Noticed on the label that they are part of the Rainforest Alliance so feel better about buying them.
Ivyleaf My reply page has gone funny as well - really wwwiiiddde;)
